Quran Translation in Urdu
Salams
Does anyone know where I can get an audio translation of the Quran ONLY in urdu? I've got a couple where first the arabic verse is read, and then the translation is given in urdu. But I would prefer just the urdu translation on its own. Anyone know where I could download this from??? Thanks |

I have never come across just the translation.
I think there are fatwas against it so you may have problems.

I think it probably relates to preservation of the quran to avoid different communities having a quran in their own languages. Dates back to the time when the quran was first canonised, all qurans in non-quraishi dialects were ordered to be destroyed.

From here, you can get Qur'an translation with translation and tafseer. It's Maududi's Tafheem:
www.tazkeer.org Here, you can listen to the same but without the tafseer i.e. just recitation and translation. The drawback is that you can't download the files: http://www.lookera.com/ From here, you can get Qur'an recitation plus translation in English. The recitor is one of my favourite (Rashid AlAfasy), and so is the translation(from Darussalam, by Muhsin Khan and TaqiudDin AlHilali - not the Australian AlHilali). The drawbacks are that not all surahs are available, and the translation reading is poor. In the translation, there are a few explanation in brackets within the verse; they read those brackets without indicating that they're not reading the actual translation anymore. But it's obvius usually to experienced listeners: (Sorry, I'll post the link a little later; Innallaha ma'as Sabirun )Here it is: http://sabbir.com/DownloadHalal.html Here, you can get recitation and translation by by Sudais and Shuraim: http://www.islamicboard.com/quran-me...tml#post327336 Hope that helps. PS. A,azing number of typos in there (no that one isn't deliberate!)
