Coach to be appointed with consultation of captain, players: Nasim Ashraf

The Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Dr. Nasim Ashraf said on Monday that the final decision regarding the appointment of coach of the national team will be made with consultations with Captain Shoaib Malik and the players.

He stated this while talking to newsmen after his arrival from India. “There are several candidates interested for the job and we are considering the best among them,” he said.

Meanwhile, batsman Muhammad Yususf and the fast bowler Muhammad also arrived from India after playing Afro-Asia series.

What I don't get about the PCB is - they make the most obvious point into an "Announcement"!

It goes without saying that the captain and players will be consulted, but VE VANT TO ANNOUNCE TO THE VORLD VE ARE PROFESSIONAL...

I wont be too harsh about this specific instance because i dont think that PCB made a formal announcement. I think it's just the media guys who might have caught up with him at airport where he had to answer a question or two.

Pakistan media is growing and so is the hunger for news. I remember the old days when you had to wait till 9:25pm or maybe 9:27 pm to get a two minute sports bulletin to get the latest news. Now there are sports news every half hour.
