Pakpassion Fantasy Cricket (CricSim)

Would anyone like to join this? You can have captains, and make your own teams. You enter your teams into the cricket simulator called "Cricsim".
It then simulates the match and simulates all the commentary and everything. The commentary is then pasted into the thread.

Here is an example.

What do you guys think of this? Would you all be willing to join up and make a PP fantasy league?

Oh this would be UBER Sweet. We can make this the official thing for using the sim. Then I will make a seperate thread for captains, and everything. Good work Sean.

I am a captain btw. And if Easa declines, he will also be a captain.

We can also have a draft to see who picks who for their team.

Well SB you will be in the draft.

We need to decide how many teams to have though? Each team will draft 12 players, and there will be no injuries. I am thinking we should have 4 teams.

I am a captain. Easa is also a captain. Now we need 2 more captains. They can members or MODs.

Nah man it doesn't matter. Lets not even bring the mods into this.

So right now, the captains are me and Easa. Vegitto, you gotta be a little older. There's really no cutoff date, but you gotta have done something on PP. Like me getting banned 840320958092580294 times

Bump. The sim is really, really cool. This could be a lot of fun. I think we will go with 4 captains only, and then maybe add more teams later. So, I will craete a separate threads.

As of now, me and Easa are captains. Come on, we need 2 more so I can get this thing started! APPLY!

Uhg, I Need to advertise this some how. Actually, I'll post this in the cricket section to get everyone's attention.

Nice pick Easa. He was going to be my next pick.

I really dunno who to go for though. Since averages have nothing to do with it, I am going with people I like...

Edit: No, averages do have a part. If you're a bowler, you'll have you're bowling average will be wickets per day times 3. Because some people haven't made many threads at all. And your batting average is your posts per day times 2.

I think we should start the entire draft all over again. Its really not fair on me and Hasbeen and Easa, though I don't think Easa will mind PP's healthy average of 50.

Also, Sean how are you going to calculate bowling average? Theres no place that says Wickets (threads per day) and then gives a number.

Honestly though, there is no fit way to put in a bowling average. Because with threads, what you are actually doing, Sean, is putting a penalty on those who don't create threads!

The only thing I can think of batting average should be x3 the number of runs per day, and the bowling average should be the average runs per day.

Oh and I have found a great way to make up averages.

Your posts per day are multiplied by 3. According to what that average becomes, you can tell if you are a bowler or a batsman.

For example, if you multipy Easa's runs per by 3, you get 90, which obviously makes him a batsman. You multiply Saj's runs per by 3, you get 15, which makes him a bowler. This is mostly fair because not many people have amazing averages of 30 posts per day.

But captains please, do not hunt out players who post like 1 per day. Please pick active members.

Nah, because the averages will then be too high. I reckon multiply it by 2. Because AJ would then have an average of 130! That's unheard of.

Yea you would be a good captain, but if your not on PP for, say, 1 month, then its no fun.

SB, do you have Hasbeen's msn or aim, I really need to talk to him.

Oh and Sean was right.

x3 is a little to ridicoulous! We will multiply all the "runs per day" averages by 2, and w/e it comes out to defines your status as a bowler/batsman/allrounder.

I'll go captain if you want. But I honestly think we should have a "legends" team with mods. Or a team with people from the SN days.

I honestly think we just get people to sign up instead of just choosing people.

and do it like this.

Like this.

Want to be a batsman or a bowler? Bowler
Batsman hand: Right
Bowler hand: Right
Bowler type: leg spin

What do you think?

No man, please stop trying change what I am doing! The draft is better.

Alex, you have just joined PP, so I don't think you would be drafted. Maybe next season. Sorry.

And Sean! PICK! Its your turn to PICK!

Well, everyone on PP is "in". You just gotta be picked. But since, ctiger, you show so much interest, you will be picked ahead of others.

I have got the program. I have made random teams for me and Easa, and I will simulate it.
I have given all the batsman an average of 50, and all the bowlers an average of 21. Just a simulation.

The teams are:

My team:

Zeeshan*, AJ, Oxy, Saj, 12th Man+, Raz, Merc, Monsee, Hash, Uzzy, Amir

Easa:

Easa*, PP, MIG, infamous9383, Sean, Hafridi, CorneredTiger, Shayan, Daoud, Hari, Medic

These are totally RANDOM and just to give everyone a feel of the game.

Zeeshan and Sean,
Come on guys, no need to be upset about it! There is no point in playing if you are not going to enjoy it so please take care of the misunderstanding and carry on with the game.

So theres no draft? All right - should I create a match thread? iZeeshan XI vs Easa XI? Or you can do that if you wish.. we need to be a bit more organized with this.
