PC Problem

Hello everyone, my brother has a problem with his PC, one day, he watching a Youtube clip and all of a sudden the screen whent toally blank - all white, he's tried switching the PC off from the back and the plug, when he tries putting the PC back on the PC just keeps beeping before the start up page comes up, usually its only meant to beep once, it keeps beeping and nothing happens, another thing is that when he presses the shutdown button the computer shuts off immediately rather than after a while like it used to when it worked....Any ideas how he could fix this?

the beeping sound means there is a problem.

but the beeps maybe a code to help you. like a computer might beep twice if no keyboard detected. if you remember what bios it had you can try searching google or bios maker or computer manufacturer website plus beeping to get some idea

well there's a sequence of 8 beeps then 3 more, also the LED changes colour....anyone know whats going on?

looks like video problem or maybe more???
search for it "bios beep codes" or "bios 8 beeps".
is you computer under warranty?
try replacing the video card if you have some card laying around

yeah, looks like a memory and a video card thing combined, I remember when I used it on the weekend, he only ahd 700mbs left on C drive...I think he might of just finished the space on it...I'll let you know how it goes, you, 12thMan bro, thanks a lot man, you been a big help

it looks more like video or some other hardware problem. by memory you probably mean harddrive and not RAM as 700MB is a lot. The system may have also given a warning if it was running low. test it with another cheap video card
