The Story of a Life Time
I went to a "dars" today and the khateeb was talking about how kids should be respectful to their parents.
So he told us this story of a guy, who one day had gotten really sick of his dad, so he decided to leave him somewhere in the woods. So one day, the guy says to his dad, "Come on dad, let us go for a walk". So the dad comes, and the son takes him through all these forests making random turns so the father can't make his way back. In time, the son and dad come to a tree, and the son says, "Hold on dad, wait here, I'll be right back.". Before the son goes forever, the father stops and says, "Son, can you drop me off at that tree instead?". The son asks, "Why, why?". The father's reply was, "because that is where I left my dad." It was this story that really hit the sense of reality in me. Just a pure essence and thought I would share the story with you guys.

That hit me. I've got a better one
Basically. An old man used to live with his son and his son's family. As he was old, he used to make messes and ruin the table at meal times and chip/shatter the crockery, so once, the son and his wife couldn't take take it anymore. They moved the oldman to an isolated table and gave him a wooden bowl for him to eat from while they sat at the big diner table. Once, the Son's son looked at what was happening and got a wooden bowl and gave it to his dad saying here dad, take this for later. The dad said, why? The boy said so I can do that to you when you get old... |

Because its such a touching story. It hit me because I am not the greatest kid with my parents, and I realized that whatever I do to them, my kids will do to me.
And Jayed, mine is so much better.

I've got an even better one
There was an old man who would wet his bed every day and his son would have to it clean it up. This kept on going on for several months before the son realised that his dad was doing it on purpose. So the son thought about getting him back. One day when the old man wasn't looking the son put medicine into his food which would make him unable to urinate. The move backfired because the old man found other means to make the bed dirty. So always respect your parents 3 stories incredibly poorly told

Well a month a ago there was a programme on Islam Channel and there the guy was talking about the same thing.
he was telling that Firaun is the worst kuffar because he is the one that said "i'm your lord most high", and when ALLAH subhana wa tala send Moosa a.s. to him Allah told moosa talk to him in a polite way. So the guy said if Moosa a.s. had to talk in a polite way to the biggest kuffar on earth .how should we talk to our parents. |

hahahahaha man that was pure comic gold. I dunno why people need to hear these bogus make believe stories to be "touched" and respect their parents. Half the time the stories dont make any sense at all. How the hell would the son make his way back and the father would be lost. Was the father retarted or something? |
