Are Bangladesh missing Dav Whatmore?

Bangladesh are currently 56-5 off 16 overs in the 1st ODI against Sri Lanka. Prior to this, they were annihilated in the test series against the same opposition. Has Dav Whatmore's influence been severely underestimated?, or are they a team who are merely in transition (new captain/ coach) and need more time to settle?

I was about to write the same ... Whatmore after leaving the Bangladeshi job must have thought he would have the Indian job, then he thought now I'll get the Pakistani job ... and he ended up with nothing. Poor guy!!!

i would have agreed with Chaudrey had he said the same words about 2 months back when Dav's contract with bangs was about to expire and teams like India and Pakistan were lobbying to the fulest of their diplomatic capacity to net Dav

but now with both India and Pak having looked else where leaving Whatmore , I now think its more the case of an unemployedDav missing Bangladesh nowadays.
What a turnaround his stars have had in the last few weeks from being the most eligible and most wanted coach to being a dumped and unemployed hard task master.

NO they are not! At the highest level coach has a minimal impact e.g look at IND they are with out a coach yet recently defeated SA in an ODI series and PAK who were also with out a coach were able to defeat SL.

india and pak are established teams, bangla is still growing. there is a difference. india doesnt have a caoch, but they still have someone like ravi shastri who is a analytically very good. bangla dont have anyone like that
