ok guys, all this talk about how corrupt pakistan cricket board is and how they are walking off with so much money etc

now, obviosly we are just fans, and we can critisize how much we want .............BUT speaking hypothetically, if General pravez Musharaf sacked DNA today and hired YOU tomorrow, what would you do to make pakistan cricket better?

the first thing ill do is kick out akhtar, and then kick out the all the snitches in the PCB who keep on talking to the press.

Yes , primary step should be the reform of PCB.

Shoaib Malik should be given full responsibility and a young team.

I will need to do few things:
1. First of all before accepting the responsibility, I will ask Musharaf do you have full confidence in my abilities to fix the system? if his answer is no then i will say thanks for the offer but you could offer it to soemone you feel confident about. IF he says yes I have confidence in your abilities then I will ask him that we could ask him his advise if we need, otherwise he shouldn't expect us to take any dictation from him.

2. I will fix PCB management at the cities level, and will appiont or elect competent and right people for the right job such cricketing background for coaching and selection and management experience for management jobs. May bring some people from other departments on deputation with higher salaries, and will let them know that if they didn't perform they will be sent back to their parent organisation. Quarterly review will be conducted.

3. City level selectors will constitute as division level selection committee (each city selection committee chair will serve on division level selection committee) and each division selection committee chair will serve on Provincial selection committee and chair of each provincial selection committee along with the provincial PCB chair will serve on advisory committee to national PCB.

4. Based on population in each province and major metropolitan we will establish standard cricket grounds and at each major stadium such as Lahore, Faisalabad, karachi, Pindi, Peshawar, Haiderabad, Quetta etc an academy will be established, which will be run by PCB, and in addition to these academies each city cricketing organization will be encouraged and case to case basis (based on their existing infrastructure, such as Lahore, Pindi may already have better facilities than other centers like Peshawar, Quetta, etc,) PCB will provide some financial support too to make them establish these academies.

5. It will PCB standard that local manpower for every position will be top priority over out of town or province or country manpower.

6. Cricketing decisions will be made by PCB cricketing advisory committee and these will be final.

7. Management related decisions will be made by management advisory committee and those will be final authority.

8. All member of the advisory committee will be paid by their parent organizations, and such as city selection committee members and chair of the selection committee will be paid by city, and committee chair will be expected to utilize 50% of his time on city committee while 50% of his/her time will be expected to be utilized at division, province and or national level. This will be fair for example if each person is suppose to work 40 hours a week, then each city selection committee will be expected to spend 30 hours a week to watch for talent, and 10 hours a week in official work and committee meetings. While city committee chair will be expected to spend little time in direct hunt for talent, like 5-10 hours a week, and 5-10 hours city committee meetings and remaining 20-25 hours will be spent at division, province and or national selection committee meetings. However, they will paid allowances for traveling and stay if they are serving on division, province or national committees.

Each member of the selection committee (at city, division, province or national level) will be involved in direct talent hunt, while committee chair will serve as representative of his comittee on upper level of committtee.

9. Players will be paid based on a fixed share of the PCB net regular income for the previous 5 year average (regular income since in the event of winning a mega event, any additional income will be utilized for talent grooming and hunt). If team perform well, PCB will make more revenue from endorsements and will make more revenue so players will get big checks.

10. Since each member for the city selection committee will be an elected member with cricketing background, so it will be highly assumed that national selectors will make decisions on merit, so there shouldn't be any chance to any player complaining about selection, and since each player based on his seniority and contribution to team success will be rewarded based on fixed share from the revenue, so there will be no chance of complaining, and despite all these transpirancies, if still a player failed to follow decipline and cause damage to good name of his nation, then such player will not be tolerated and will be punished based on criterias such as ICC codes for level one, two or three offenses. All the fines will be channels to welfare of domestic cricket, and during suspension such player will be allowed to train with the team but he will not be paid any allowances other than food, stay and training facility.

11. Team coach will be cricket literate person, and manager will be someone with outstanding people management skills, PCB will ask major PRIVATE organizations in the country to nominate someone from their organization for honorary deputy manager position for series to series basis. PCB will pay allowances but he/she will get salary from his/her parent organization. This will help encourage competition among private organizations to bring and nominate outstanding management profession to spend time with team, and earn a good name for their organizations. At the same time it will help PCB build patnership with such organizations, which could help bring support for cricket at metropolitan level.

12. No unnecessary staff will travel with the team.

13. Selection committee will select 15 players for each series, and Coach, Captain and Vice Captain will select 12 players for each match, and CAPTAIN WILL PICK PLAYING ELEVEN. This will make sure that each player will respect Captain since if a player doesn't respect a captain then he could be selected among 12 players but captain can make him bring water and towels, no matter how big a name he is.
