Which attack would u prefer against India in ODIs ..S.A.A.G or R.A.A.G?
RAAG -Rao, Akhter,Asif,Gul
SAAG -Sohail,Akhter,Asif,Gul i think our strength remains in our fast bowling n we should go with 4 men pace attack against India in ODI series |

Shoaib will be needed badly..dont think we can win the series with 3 medium pacers & a fast medium(gul)....we've got to have a lightening face bowler in our lineup!

my memory of 2004 series in pakistan is of shoiab getting whaked into oblivion in the oneday series...
and the 2005 series in india, pakistan winning 4/1 or 4/2 without shoiab... furthermore, we have won as many one dayers without shoiab as we have when he is in the team. does this mean that perhaps just a little too much emphasis is being placed on shoiab in one dayers? |

When you have someone like Akhtar in the team, statistics don't always tell the whole story.
It's not HOW Akhtar bowls that becomes a major factor, but rather the THREAT of Akhtar being available to the Captain, to bring on as/when the Captain decides. Batsmen then feel that they need to make the runs against the other, "lesser" bowlers, and hence take more risks, leading to their downfall. How often do you see batsmen surviving against premier quality bowlers, but then lose their wickets when the 'average' guys come on to bowl. The batsmen are not afraid of not making runs against Akhtar, but instead are much more afraid of personal injury when batting against him.
