Another Bomb Blast in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A suicide bomber blown himself at Katchehry Chowk of Rawalpindi Tuesday, reportedly killing five persons and injuring several others.

Ten injured in the blast have been shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi, reports said.

It was a suicide attack made by a pedestrian, a spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in Islamabad.

Katchehry Chowk and adjacent Ayub Park area have been cordoned off while the security has been further tightened in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Earlier, federal railway minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmed said that according to reports three to four persons were killed in the blast. Rashid said that there were reports that up to three possible suicide attackers had managed to enter Rawalpindi and neighbouring Islamabad in recent days.

It's not hard, consult any Chemistry text book.

It is shame that Pakistan has not been able to block or monitor the movement of the materials required to make the bombs like they have in the UK.

our Govt. don't do anything for kinda incidents.
no any arrest ect, AAJ TV (a private channel) asked ppl to send msg abt Karachi bomb blasts and what Govt/ should do. one person wrote something like "Govt. job is to find head of bomber and they have done it"

The great leader is responsible for the slow down in these investigations. If you read his book he has given a fairly detailed step by step of how they managed to track down the last few suicide bombers.

For a suicide bomber it has pretty much told them what to avoid doing in order for their organisation to not be detected.

The government can do something but the reason it doesn't is because the big industrialist are not willing to have extra red tape around their operations. The very industrialists who are keeping Musharraf afloat.

Probably attacking a military convoy. There are a lot which pass close to Rawalpindi.
The army HQ is close by as well.

Because they dehumanise others and martyr themselves with some convoluted logic.

Very good point. These attacks will eventually weaken Pakistan. After seeing Iraq and Afghanistan, we should have absolutely no doubt about our fate as a weak nation. These bombers are cutting the roots of their own country.
