WANTED: Batting coach

Jokes aside seriously our batting is a joke!

Now im no fan of coaches and certainly have not been impressed with Lawson so far. Imran Khan is against coaches but he effectively was a coach and hence the need was never there.

I think we can do with someone to spot technical faults and help improve, any thoughts?

We do need a batting coach just to work out any little flaws and COME UP with a batting strategy. Lawson clearly does not have much clue in regards to batting.

I am not sure he has a clue as regards anything else either. Combined with our clueless captain I think we are in for some painful few series ahead (minus the zimbabwe series, or may be not, if we stick with kaptan`s buddy behind the stumps). He needs to be told that honeymoon period is over and get working.

P.S. and saying nothing of OUR set of muppets lead by the joker SALLU.

Lawson has finally arrived physically but I think he forget somethings behind mentally.

actuallly bowling is a growing concern....
but batting is a disaster. batting coach won't help though IMHO, pak needs academies hwere they tell you how to play with straight bat FOR TESTS, for odi's you can fill in 3 or 4 MAX such players, and rest will be power hitters so there's a nice mix of both and pak can rest assured of high scores.

264 in ODI's not enough in todays market.
Our batsmen never made enough! They need to put the runs on the board before our bowlers get a say.

my thinking is....
some straight batted players will hold the innings together in odi's against all attacks on ALL surfaces (green seaming bouncy etc) in test and ODI's too....
the power hitters job will be .....well you know.

It depends on what the flaws are. National coach is not going to solve much. coaches can give tips and players have to work hard to improve on them. They will need bowlers to bowl them certain ways to work on the mistakes but comes match time what do the batsman do? Or what do they do when they get dropped?

let's not argue over which one is wrose in present pak team- bowling or batting.

batting is bad no doubting that. so my suggestion is improving fundamentals, textbook straight batted players etc.
bowling has to be improved too. only one genuine STRIKE bowler who almost all batters around the world fear in akthar isn't good enough .

BUT it's wise to put your eggs NOT all in one basket. therefore not all textbook batters should be selected in the team, maybe 3-4 MAX for odi's and 5-6 for tests.
that's my idea.

Sorry to interrupt you mate, not debating a batting coach but rather which one to go for.
