It's that man Misbah again!

What poise and non-chalance at the crease in times of such tense moments! He has turned into a real Man of Crises!

Misbah is looming large on Indian nerves. Yesterday they on ESPN sports Center likened him as the next Javed Miandad - the man whio constantly defied India.

Yes, they really despised Javed Miandad. I remember watching an Indian film in which they named the villain "Javed Miandad" That was how much Javed had gotten under their skins.

Misbah is surprising everybody, and in every match he plays. Lets hope he continues in the same mood.

If there was ever a batsman who deserved a century. Let's hope Misbah can continue it tomorrow and this time jump the hurdle he fell at in the first innings and get those runs!
A 98 will be OK as well!

Misbah has not put a foot wrong in this match, except his run out and we know he didnt put his foot into the crease on that occasion.

Lets hope he continues and makes sure we get a 300+ lead. I will take a 97 as well!

He is playing like a seasoned experienced middle order batsman who has seen it all and knows how to handle the situation. Now if Misbah can learn to how to complete a mission.

That dropped catch might cost India the match.

Misbah watches the ball till the very last and that is why he scores so many runs through deft touches. Although he has fallen a few times playing those "very late" shots, but they also fetch him a lot of runs.

Judging by his fitness level and intensity of training regime, he is a real professional and takes the game very seriously. For a player to have come back from the cricketing wilderness, and playing so wondrously well, that in itself is a show of mighty sound character and firm belief in his abilities.

If India lose this one due to Misbah, you can bet your bottom dollar Sehwag will play the next two matches. No prize for guessing on whose cost!

He is Mr Cool as cat Misbah ul Haq, the dropped chance re-invogirated him and he chose the counter-attack method to lift the pressure from the team, he is a star in the making and has that nonchalence and verve to grit it out to the last delivery.

I think 250 and some people will be biting nails, some wearing holes in the carpet, some suffering anxiety i think this game will go down the wire as test matches in past have in india.

Misbah is really the Man of Crisis!!! Ravi Shastri said Misbah has nerves of steel!!! He plays responsibly and sensibly...He is looking good at the moment...luved the 2 sixes he hit!!!
Not to forget, he very ill...being ill and playing in such a pressure situation is too far from being easy!!!
lets hope n Pray that he and Akmal get Pakistan back on track tomorow!!!Inshallah!

Great start so far and a hell of a lot more work to do, i don't want to jinx the guy so i won't say much... the highlite today for me was within a few overs, a very threatening and confident indian spin attack was forced back to try the pace option, only to be told by the umpire that the light was not sufficent.

I like his cool confidence at the crease. No doubt he was under big pressure when he came in, but he put his head down and allowed himself to settle in before launching a counter attack. A good crisis man to have in a team! He has had a huge role to play in this test so far. And it isnt over yet.

250 wont be enough if we give them 4 sessioins to ba tsince they can take their time. We need to get to that magical 300 somehow. Its dangerou snow, we got our last two recgonized batsmen. One ball, one wicket and it could lead to collapse.

That Harbhajan over where he hit two sixes was the defining over of the match for me. I literally applauded that effort from Misbah (I usually just sit quitely and watch Pakistan bat with all the tension in the world). Typical cornered tiger stuff; immense pressure, and he hits out and relieves all of it.

yes exactly, this mentality has been missing from our team for soo long, it is so refreshing and heartening to see him perform this way.

Misbah was sick today, played thru the sickness like a tiger and has given us some hope. Unlike the recent trend of our leaders who sat out big matches citing "my hair hurts".

What was almost as entertaining as the sixes was the look on Harbhajans face - he looked like he was about to cry.
