Roy Keane - what a disgrace!

Manchester United skipper Roy Keane was man-handled by Southampton stewards after taunting Southampton fans at the end of yesterday's 2-1 win at St Mary's.

Keane - who did not play in the game - was greeted by jeers and chants of "Arsenal, Arsenal" from fans as he went on to the pitch for a post-match warm-down.

The United skipper responded by taunting the Championship-bound Saints supporters with 'thumbs down' gestures.

His actions caused fury in the stands and stewards stepped in to hurry Keane down the tunnel.

A professional sportsman shouldnt react like that - would have been great if stewards hadn't moved keane along quickly - i bet the saints fans would have given keane a traditional southampton send off

That is disgraceful - i think the stewards shud have left to get battered and rightly so!

Bellamy did something kind of similar when he pointed at his Premiership badge when we played Wolves and i thought that was wrong BUT making gestures like this when they have just been relegated is wrong!

Keane is an thug who shouldn't be allowed to play the game. This's not the worst thing he's done though. When he stamped on Haaland and ended his career was the lowest thing he's ever done. What a b******d

there is a code of conduct u must adhere too - it is strange cantona got away pretty lightly for that kick on the spectators as did keane - criminal proceedings should have been brought against keane - the fool admitted there was intent there - am sure a GBH allegation againt him could have been sustained

Keane didn't end anyones career. Haaland's career ended because of a problem with his other leg, not the one Keane stamped on. Haaland said this himself. Learn the facts before you start talking crap.

No you didnt BUT you were saying RH was talking cr@p BUT his main point was that Keane is a thug who shud have been banned for his tackle on Haaland.

I said he was talking crap only because he said Keane should be banned "for ending Haaland's career" which was untrue.

If he thinks Keane should be banned for the tackle itself, then thats his opinion.

***? so lets forget the fact that keane stamped on the guys other leg - putting him out from playing footy for a long long time. Eventually his career may have been ended by a seperate injury but u cant deny what went before it. The seperate injury could well have been as a direct result of the trauma suffered earlier - meaning redundacy of movement in injured leg and extra reliance on other.
