Manjrekar's crafty comments

...this was during Eng vs SL...where he mentioned "it is better to have a evenly matched Test match like this one- unlike the one-sided match happening in India (after India scored 600 I guess)....cheeky bugger!

He is right that matches r one sided cuz ******** players r playing for pak...
if we would have been playing players on merit then he would have been saying this for his poor indian team.

Nothing wrong in that comment. At that time, match looked like one sided.

You are reading too much into it.
I have always found sanjay to be very fair-he has always praised Pak. He is from the era when the likes of IK, WA, WY, AQ JM, IA ruled the roost in INDO PAK games and made India look inferior-hence his respect for Pak.

Don´t take it too seriously, guys. He is infact a commentator whom I like because he isn´t biased towards Indians. He more than often accepts the reality.

Now look what he has said in today´s Cricinfo Round The Table Show:

Tony Greig: I think there is a bit of an improvement, but let's look at the reasons for it - and I think there are few. I reckon that if the foreign batsmen were given the pitches that we were given - raging turners - and if they played the Bedis, Prasannas, Chandrasekhars and Venkats, they would struggle. This was because they were great bowlers and they were bowling on pitches that suited them. And add one more thing: they had local umpires. I'm not having a go at the Indian umpires - that applied everywhere - but when you have a lot of bat-pads ...

Sanjay Manjrekar: They just happened to get a little patriotic in these matters.

(laughter)
---------------------------

Though it´s Tony Greig who said all this but Sanjay Manjrekar entirely agreed with him.
