(6) Kenya didn't participate in 1992 WC as far as I know. I think they debuted on 1996. and if i remember correctly, the keeper was someone named Kennedy Otieno (?). well, this is from my memory. don't want to go to the cricinfo archives and check! no fun in that !

(2) I would guess it is Symonds

(9) it is Martin Crowe. but he injured when batting, so while NZ fielding his deputy John Wright was in charge of captain. am I right?

He got a pair..... this part I knew without looking.

According to Cricinfo, he faced 5 balls in 1st innings and 3 balls in 2nd.... for a total of 8 without scoring a run.

I dont think Wasim put anybody out of the world cup in 92. I remember he yorked Lara who retired hurt, but he eventually recovered.

Looking forward to the answer for the last question.

Regarding number six, I don' tthink it was Otienno. I think it was some roly poly guy called Iqbal. I Remember this very well since he kept wicket in the game they won agasinst Windies and I got highlights of that game. BIg roly poly like figure and wore some huge glasses. Remember he dropepd a sitter but then took a stunner with one hand going the way (it was a inside edge).

Kenya played 6 matches in 1996 WC. They used two keepers in that tournament;

KO Otieno
vs IND, SL, AUS

IT Iqbal
vs ZIM (washout, only 15 overs possible), ZIM (replay), WI,

Wasim didnt put anybody out of the 1992 world, nor in the preceding Sri Lanka and West Indies series in 91/92. It must be a FC player during a domestic match?

I have seen the clips of Mahanama getting injured by Wasim, not sure about the year. but then, Mahanama indeed played the WC. Saj has already got one question wrong related to the 92 WC, Kenya's participation may be one more?

It was during one of the warmup matches before the World Cup.

Simon O'Donnell? He played his last match just before 1992 WC?

...or Greg Matthews?

Can't be Moody or Waugh brothers.

Can you re-word the last question? Third delivery of what .... same innings... different innings... different match? It does not make sense...........unless a batsman hit two sixes.....then the innings ends (declaration in a test or 50 overs ended in an ODI).........and then while fielding, he took a catch on the first ball when the opponents batted.

Here another one;

Of all the batsmen who have scored 250 or more runs in a test innings, only three have been started a test match as the official wicket keeper of their side.

One is Sangakkara, who are the other two?

Note: Dravid has not been an official keeper in a test.

Note, for this question, the batsman scoring 250+ need not have kept wickets in that same match.

The only two Durham keepers that I can think of are Martin Speight and Phil Mustard.

Yes... they never crossed 250.

Both never got selected as wicketkeepers in the team when they made the debut.

Hanif and Sangakara STARTED their test careers as wicket keepers....and so did this 3rd guy. Clue.... this guy retired from international cricket before 1980.

Name the former Durham wicketkeeper who also played semi professional football for Bishop Auckland?

legslip, brilliant. It was Andy "Geordie" Fothergill.

I was lucky enough to play 5 a side in the same team as Fothergill and what a player he was. One of those guys who was just a talent at any sport he tried.

Watch this space for the next quiz.
