Congrats South Africa - Win in Under 3 days!

Congrats to South Africa, they thoroughly deserved to win it. Poor batting by India in the 1st innings proved very costly.

See ya in Kanpur.

Embarrassing or what!

There's NO better sight in cricket than seeing 3 pumped up quicks slice through a batting lineup and make them look by pathetic, crying babies.

Thank you, S&M.

Congrats to SA for thumping a Minnow in less than 3 days; puts them in their place!

Now watch them prepare a Cow D.ung Pitch which will turn about 100 feet from day one and try to win the 3rd Test...what will be even funnier is if they lose the 3rd test too!

Keeping Fingers crossed for a 2-0 Final outcome

Great play by SA team. And what to say about the Indian team, looks as volatile as global equity markets. However, I don't think this Indian team is as bad as the result of this match shows. I'm optimistic things will turn around in the next match.

The game was sealed in the first hour and a half by the SA bowlers.

I thought the Indian batsman played very loosely on that first morning and were very careless and irresponsible in their approach, on a wicket that did a bit, but certainly wasnt Headingley in April.

Indians are now finally learning what it means to come up against a champion team. The only reason the Indians did well in Australia is because the Australians totally underestimated the Indians. The Aussies next time they play India will look for revenge just like they destroyed England 5-0. Finally looking at the South African attack you can see the value of having two 90 mph fast bowlers. Steyn is the best fast bowler in the world, even Better than Lee. Cricket is more about Skill, than Fitness, Steyn has the ability to move the ball late with both the new and old ball, he can swing it from middle and even leg stump to off. No wonder he gets so many batsman bowled when the ball pitches on leg and hits off, its like facing a 90mph leg spinner. Morkel only has bounce, nothing else plus a lot of height, but he will improve with time. Ntini has experience but he is only effective once he bowls in the 136-140 km/hr region. Overall the South African team is blessed with a truely powerful bowling line up and is going to win matches everywhere. I dont see the indians coming back from here unless they choose the cowardly way out by producing the flatest of wickets like they did against Pakistan.

Hehe, how do you miss the important point? The pitch will be same for both teams. Are you doubting the performance of SA on flat pitches. Aren't they good enough? On the other, I will be happy if Kanpur track assists spinners well

Actually no. The South Africans can still beat India irrespective of the pitch produced because they have 90mph bowlers now and both can reverse swing the ball. I am just worried about Ntini, he has to back them up. Harris isnt a bad spinner, he just needs to be given a more attacking role now.

The South Africans have only ever struggled against quality spin bowlers like Warne, Murlitharan. They have played so much against Kumble, i dont think he will pose to many problems, the selection of Harbhajan Singh will have to be looked at. Overall it is clearly proven the proteas are the second best team in the world, just havent been able to figure out why do they struggle psychologically and mentally against the Aussies. But this series belongs to South Africa now.

Jus kiddin mate!

But a very good win by South Africa, and the way their batters played India's ‘world class bowling attack’ was very impressive!

It is prob a good thing he was dropped from the international scene after a series against England in 2004/2005. He was quick, but wild.

Gratz to the Saffers - that pace attack looks pretty good. Great knock from AB and Kallizzz but the famed Indian pace attack (missing its spearheads Zaheer and Sharma) were not up to the mark on a wicket that really didn't do all that much bar the first hour or so each day.

Woeful stuff from India, from their "victorious tour" of OZ it's back to earth with a bump. Innings defeat at home, that's what you call murderation. It's a characteristic of great teams to be able to be competitive, maintain a consistent level of performance, and fight even when losing - India are not quite there yet. Ganguly was the only one who really showed some fight in the 2nd innings.

SA were good but were made to look much better by the Indian performance. As for SA, I'm looking forward to the OZ playing them later this year - it's going to be an epic clash for sure.

Too true, India v Oz series are the sh1t and i never miss them. The ASHES aint what they used to be.

Always has plenty of nastiness, jealousy, racism, name calling, provoking, cheating, over appealing, blaming, dobbing and the cricket is pretty good as well.

And then at the end of the day we can all go on a forumn and hammer each other with accusations.
