The Asia Cup is just a week away. I can't wait! I was surprised not to see any official threads for it so I opened one myself. Good luck to all the teams especially Bangladesh.

The Pakistan squad for the Kitply Cup had 17 players I think it will be reduced to 15 like all the other teams.

I wish they hadn't invited UAE and Hong Kong. Would have been much better to just have one group of 4 with Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with the top two playing in the final.

the real minnows are only the chinese and UAE.

I dont expect them to win against any other country. BAN could pull a win from the other test playing countries. I think BAN are many times stronger than UAE and teh chinese

Actually, why do i call them chinese? The team is full of pakistani's... all of them are pakistani, except 1 indian, 2 whites, and 1 real chinese

And UAE is also full of pakistani's

Yeah, all these years the UAE team had players who were labour workers in Dubai but were from Pakistan, Indian, SL and BD. But now they have passed a rule that the team must have atleast 4 UAE born residents.

You're welcome. Yeah I'll be happy as long as we reach the 2nd round and manage a win against any one of the bigger teams. Ash and Mash are both doing good nowadays they might have finally got some sense knocked into their heads. As long as Siddons and Ashraful are smart and send the right XI in the field we will have a chance.

There are 4 teams Bang, Ind, SL, Pak who are going ahead. Bangladesh will have to lose to UAE for that to happen. I know things can happen but Bangladesh is not that bad and they might just beat SL in group stage

i agree, that UAE and HK are no-hopers, but the system is designed such that afghanistan and nepal (countries with some cricket popularity) can make it through.

we just got unlucky.

True. Crowds turn up at venues across the country and are usually that much more enthusiastic because they hardly get to watch a game.

I'm guessing the PCB were worried about security and felt that they're more comfortable with their arrangements in Lahore and Karachi.

Lord, they're going to be so many cops I'll have to brave at NSK. Each one of them enjoying a quick feel up/pat down when they want. And the prices are ridiculous! Rs 2700 for the Hanif Mohamamd and Miandad stands! I'm gonna have to sit in the mid-wicket stand instead of my good old Hanif Mohammad stand because it's just too expensive!

Oh and the general stands are Rs 300. So if a man wants to bring his wife and 3 kids to the game it'll cost him Rs 1500...for the general stand! Minting it, are our boys in the PCB.
