He is playing for WAPDA in the patrons trophy so does he come into contention?

He was quite popular on PP last summer. Played for Derbyshire got over a 1000 runs at over 50. Overall averages 47 in first class cricket.

His selling point would be that he has played county cricket and done well there as well as in Pakistani domestic.

Here is his profile: http://www.pcboard.com.pk/Pakistan/P...079/19079.html

Has been mentioned here but didn't play the Quaid trophy. He might be looking for British citizenship perhaps?

Bob was supposed to see Hasan according to his website, while Pakistan toured England in the ICC trophy, don't know what became of it.

Hasan's problem might be his conversion rate, 36 half centuries, 7 centuries. Its centuries that tend to get the attention of the selectors.

Good point about conversion, doesn't really have that huge double hundred under his belt ala Bazid or Hasan Raza etc... but would definately be worth a call up to the training camp, maybe a spot on the Pak vs rest squad?

Yes ggm but he has had 4 in the past year though the conversion rate can be worked at. If he wants to play for Pakistan he should certainly be in the running for a spot in the A team.

WIY - he may be but I don't think he has been on the A tours recently.

It is unlikely that he is near the full team if he can't make it to the A team.

I am not judging his talent since I have never seen him bat but it seems the selectors have Misbah, Bazid and Faisal etc ahead of him.
