Series of Bomb Blasts in Karachi !!!

KARACHI: One person was killed and dozens others injured in a series of five blasts that ripped through different areas of the busiest city of the country on Monday.

Two explosions occurred here in Banaras area. One of the blasts happened in a pile of garbage while the other one at a footpath near Banaras chowk, injuring 16 people. They were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, sources said.

Enraged people took the streets and started pelting stones at moving vehicles.

The third explosion ripped through a mini truck in North Nazimabad area of Shahra-e-Noor Jehan near Sohail mosque. Five persons were injured, police sources said. However, Chhipa sources said 8 persons were taken to hospital.

There are reports of the fourth blast in Hyderi area near a children’s school.

Police mobiles have reached the blasts’s sites while ambulances are shifting the injured to local hospitals.

The fifth blast occurred here in a motor cycle in Qasba colony area, killing one person.

Police and Rangers have been put on high alert in the city following the series of blasts.

Emergency has been declared in local hospitals.

If above is the reaction that these Jahanamees wanted, then they have succeeded.

Lets stand united.

Something will have to give. The Peshawar operation must continue and we must wipe out this cancer.

My prayers of safety for my brothers and sisters in Karachi and Pakistan, Ameen

India is our enemy, they wish to increase there influence and interests in Afghanistan so as to surround Pakistan when traditionally Pakistan has had to worry about one front.

The Taliban were under our control and we held the most influence in Afghanistan, Karzai is a jahil and an enemy of Muslims and Pakistan, he is more pro U.S/India then Pakistan, it is in our interests that he is removed, that Indian interests are dismantled and that the Coalition and NATO not only lose but get a bloody nose in afghanistan,

The Taliban are willing fighters with many Pakistani also willing to fight all they need is help, weapons and ISI intelligence to point them in the right directions and help them utilise the correct tactics.

Few people invade Afghanistan and win, there is a reason for that.

ya but y is taliban wanting to capture pakistan?? i think its because they think that pakistan is lost and that they have to bring it to the right track(so called right track) and to bring pakistanis to the right track (though i do admit that some pakistanis (mostly the ultra rich and the ultra advanced) have lost their way though not all pakistanis are extremely religious or extremely modern.

i dont think Taliban want to "Capture" Pakistan.

Taleban probably calls Pakistan a fair target for allowing it's enemies (US-led Coalition" have bases there.

not picking sides or anything, but why are you shocked that their protecting their "Interests".

As long as corruption and dopey politics exist, there will be stuff like this happening.

The Taliban never targeted us before, this mess started when Pakistan in aid of the U.S attempted to kill/fight the Taliban for U.S pats on the back and tummy scratches...

The U.S is/was using us and always will until we tell them to Fcuk off, we should have used our heads and known we cant kill off the Taliban and the more we attack more innocent people die, the more the Taliban look upon Pakistan as traitors and American stooges.

Pakistan MUST allow the ISI to retake control of the Taliban ( I am now sure that steps are under way) and undo some of the damage we have caused...

We have to be smart and aware as to what the U.S/India want and what there interests are, we instead have been making our own tribal and conservative population angry and resentful.

This has to end, we must make peace and set the Taliban on our enemies, we do not know who set off the bombs so no need to jump the gun and start blaming people, but we now need to get the ISI to do its job...

ya i actually dont mind the taliban taking over and kicking all the corrupt people from the govt, but wat i dont like is how they force people to live like them, to be like them.

even if they do i just hope that they dont take the country down the drain and destroy it. i just hope that they take the country towards progress

Whoever thinks that these blasts were carried out by the Talibaan are totally wrong..

This is the response to the blast in Kabul..

India has high stakes in Afghanistan and so does Pakistan..

India is using Afghanistan to unleash Terror in Pakistan, support insurgency in Baluchistan and NWFP.

This isn't Talibaan.. Has Talibaan ever targeted Common People.. They have always targetted Security forces, the odd civilians being the unintended casualty..

Pakistan needs to go against India in Afghanistan, it has to do it to safeguard our interest, our peace..

India has got what it wanted, when USA forced Pakistan to roll back their Kashmir policy..

Now its free to do what it wills in Pakistan.

And the fact that the blast's were in a pakhtoon dominated area of Karachi backs this up.
India have always been upto no good in the tribal areas, trying to play the pakhtoon against the rest of Pakistan. A friend of my dad's (who is in the army, and has been deployed in the frontier) told us of the stories of Indian's paying pakhtoon fighters to unleash terror throughout Pakistan.
Also you've got the new Indian consulates in Kandahar and Jalalabad that are funnelling arms and money to insurgents in Balochistan

President strongly condemns blasts in Karachi
Updated at: 2358 PST, Monday, July 07, 2008

Quote:
KARACHI: President Pervez Musharraf strongly condemned the bomb blasts in Karachi on Monday, saying the despicable acts of terrorism were a conspiracy against the country and the people. The President said these terrorist elements want to destabilize the country by disturbing the law and order, but they would not succeed in their nefarious designs.

In a statement, the President said that anti-state elements were involved in such inhuman acts. President said that Pakistan was fighting the war against terrorism in its own interest and stressed that it could be won only if the nation stood united.

The President expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the affected families and prayed for the early recovery of the people injured in the blast.

Interesting timing isn't it? Ever since, they've opened 7 consulate offices in addition to the embassy in Kabul and the miscreants become active in Baluchistan and Northern areas. One word for India "Do not try to play our game with us".

also just read dawn and tehir saying there were no deaths (alhumdullilah) and that the bombs were low intensity devices planted in various locations and possibly set off via timer devices..they were in majority pukhtoon areas to sow discord and sectarian strife...non of the major parties have anything to gain from this..the finger must be pointed at our enemies abroad!!..it was a direct response to teh kabul attack as karachi and sindh are teeming with the pakistan centric RAW agency and now the tajik scum KHAD!!
