I cannot understand how freedom fighters like Mandela and Mbeki could celebrate Israels 60th birthday with the South African Jewish Board.

One thing about history is it repeats itself.. look at every case in time, it happens more than once in different forms.
Also, if this is the case, that is to say, that area of the world will be the next superpower.. which will take atleast more than a hundred years, as the US's dominancy is coming to an end, and Asia is becoming the new superpower (India and China).
THroughout history, we have seen superpowers being changed, first it was the Western Europe, then it became the US and Soviet Union, now Asia is becoming one. Palestine has a long way to go if it has to be one..

But looking at the present, this is a great crime on the Palestinians
