Is this the worst Pakistani fielding side ever?

After watching recent matches I think this has got to be one of the worst fielding sides in Pakistan history.

The number of times the WI batsmen, who are normally poor runners between the wickets, Ran two's to so many Pakistani fielders was embarassing at times.

We have so many slow fielders in the outfield with weak arms, who never attack the ball, and the catching is abysmall.

What is worse is that is not just the senior players, but some of the new players are the worst culprits the likes of Rao and Rana. Even the young Salman is at times very sloppy in the field.

You can hide one or two fielders in the Field, but where can Pakistan hide:

Yohanna
Razzaq
Inzy
Rao
Rana
Shoaib
Danish
Khalil
Salman

Pakistanis have always been pathetic fielders and indiscipline.
However: Back in the days when Imran Khan was captain, he really made his team work hard and really pushed players to field well with all sorts of tactics which i agree with. Imran use to be there for the players and encourage and back them up, but also use to scold them at times and shout/swear at them if he thought it was needed for the team's sake.

I am afraid that Pakistani players dont need a captain but a drill sergeant from the Army !

Thats the only way to fix them. I am in the middle of exploring some proposals on these lines - will post them soon

we have some good fielders:

Mohammed Sami
Shoaib Malik
Shahid Afridi
Younis Khan

These guys are all international standard fielders. I don't think it is any worse. It just seems worse because of the current lack of depth in our bowling (thanks to injuries)

it aint the 'worst side EVER' c'mon man remember umar gul's run out? maliks sensational run-out from the boundary? maliks wicked catch? it aint ALL bad just needs improving.... looks like they need hard discipline - (my suggestion) why dont the good fielders teach the not-so-good fielders how to really field??

youhanna is a good fielder.

pakistan have good fielders, but they just dnt field with there full potentional, they give 2% concentration out there so obviously they will do alot of miss fields.

most of them just start dreaming in the field when they get bored.

i can remember inzi diving to stop the ball in yesterdays match. i think the fielding is improving

this is so true....near the end of the match dhoni hit a few grounders right at inzy and had he been more agile he could easily saved three runs on a few occasions.

rana should not be included in that list ,,, i agree in the last game he was shocking in the field. but usually he is quiet energetic and quick.

Of course it's only the worst ever if you're 5 years old and can't remember how bad we used to be.
