Georgia is one of the few countries that have their troops in Iraq (from Georgia's point of view, for no reason at all except pleasing US). Poetic justice has been done when an occupier gets occupied by a bigger bully. Maybe this will bring home to them what it feels like to be under occupation (although I am not crossing my fingers).
I regret any loss of civilian life that occured in the past few days but the early signs of departure from a unipolar world are immensely promising. |
