no matter who comes into power,al muslims should know or be aware that the world will gradually descend into more and more anarchy. Wars, death and natural disasters are set to continue thats a fact according to the Quran and numerous hadiths..

Joe Biden also proposed a $1.5 Billion per year 10 year package of socioeconomic aid for Pakistan (as apposed to Bush who has only given military aid).
If he does the above .. then frankly I don't give a damn about his Israel views (and it 's not like any other politician in America isn't Pro-Israeli). Last edited by 161; 23rd August 2008 at 16:01. |

Biden is a self confessed Zionist. Biden says he will bomb Iran The Obama regime with Biden calling the shots may be worse than the Bush admistration with Dick Cheney The proposed $1.5 billion package to Pakistan will be nothing for than a payment for 'services rendered' |

Biden calling the shots - how do u go off saying that ? Obama ain't a pushover and he is going to be far more balanced in the mid-east than any neocon will be. BTW it isn't $1.5 billion it's $15 Billion in socioeconomic aid that Biden wants to give Pakistan over 10 years. |

I think as long as Pakistan doesn't concede to demands of help in anymore USA misadventures, Pakistan should have no issues with Biden.
These guys also seem more likely to pull out of Afghanistan which is what is best for Pakistan in the long run.

BTW does anyone know if he is the same Biden who helped place sanctions on Pakistan in the first place which ruined our economy in the 90s?
I remember he was upset with Zia for lying about the nuclear weapons. Or maybe he is Biden jr.

I could care less about his stance on Israel, no mainstream American politician would be so politically obtuse to turn on their biggest ally in the Middle East. Frankly, there is a lot more going on this world than the Israel-Palestine conflict, and neither side has ever been willing to take the steps necessary for a peaceful resolution and hence neither are as deserving of sympathy as they used to be..
However, he has been someone in Washington who actually lobbies for Pakistan in the Senate (Musharraf and Bhutto would call him before calling Bush), a backer of increased aid, while at the same time, also well-liked by Indians because of being a pusher of the India-US Nuclear deal. At the same time Obama is someone who has actually been to Pakistan on his own accord (in the 80s), so we have both who have familiarity with Pakistan and thats the most you can really ask for from a US Presidential ticket. |

It'll be interesting to see who McCain selects, probably Romney, but ppl are still hoping for a miracle and for him to select Ron Paul. Probably won't happen, and even if it does I doubt it makes any difference, because VP position useless if ur President doesn't like what you gotta say nothign is going to get done. |

All McCain needs to do is select a good-looking, young black man as his VP!!!
This is pure politics....Republicans have criticised Obama's lack of experience in certain areas - this guy fills the gaps that Obama's CV lacks. Basically, do 'whatever it takes to get elected' - get someone who might be in tune with Jews....positive on Israel...pro-Iraq war...in fact he was one of the key forces in pushing for the sustained aggression on Iraq! |

Wait till you see Sen. Joe Lieberman (the Ultimate Zionist) on McCain's ticket as either V.P. or Sec. Of State or Defence.
I would prefer Biden as Democrats are more more willing to restrain themselves on attacking foriegn lands. Regarding US policy towards Israel, don't expect too much radical changes in near future. |

Personally I dont think it matters at all if he is pro-Zionist. I care about the welfare of Pakistan much more than I care about Arabs and Palestinians.
United States is a great country and we should forge closer ties with them. We should also trade and become friendly to Israel, they have never done anything wrong to Pakistan. |

Biden is a great choice.
Extremely knowledgeable about foreign affairs. Very balanced when it comes to Pakistan - promotes democracy and rule of law and supports substantial increase in non-military aid, seems to recognize that economic aid and development is the answer. I was impressed with Biden as a presidential candidate. Obama has made the right choice. As for his views on Israel, our people's priorities should lie with with his views on Pakistan, and he has always been a friend of the Pakistani people (not dictators). Besides, no one gets elected in America without pandering to the extremely powerful jewish lobby groups. Once he gets in office, it might be a diff story. |

There's not a single politician in the US who would openly criticise Israel. It's just a fact of life for anyone trying to get votes, like no UK political party would ever suggest scrapping the NHS, it's one of the untouchable issues
Whether it's real or not - all presidential hopefuls are being judged as potential 'war leaders' due to the 'war on terror' It's a nasty trap that republican fear mongers have been very successful at exploiting, hence Democrats having to be seen to be willing to take 'strong, decisive action against evil, wherever it lies' yadda yadda etc etc. You'll see lots of 'Obama isn't a war leader' 'Not ready to be commander in chief' rubbish soon |
