Robinho - Flop or Success ?

Wow ! What an amazing signing for Manchester City and who would have thought it.

However do you think he'll prove to be a star or a flop at Manchester City?

Considering he cost so much i don't expect him to be worth it in the short term. But the Arab's will probably sign many world class players in Jan who together with Robinho will take Man City to a completely new level!
How i wish they'd bought Liverpool FC instead.

As a City follower (honest!) I think he won't be a complete flop but neither will he be that great, but still can't get over what's happened!

TAK

The technical term that Ive heard being used all day is 'Bit-Part Player'!

Its happened TOO quickly.

Arab Sheikh buys club...few minutes later, they buy Robinho....few hours later Mark Hughes gets involved (AFTER he has been bought by the new owners)

Manchester's a dump at the best of times....who knows how he'll feel in a few games time?

Hopefully he'll set Premiership alight like Klinsman or Bergkamp did

Knowing City's luck I'm expecting it to turn out as a cruel hoax &we find out that Jeremy Beadle is not dead after all but was spotted dressed as an Arab!

Where have you been for the past few years?

I think he will be a hit - he is a quality player and he will shine. He will be the star of the Citeh side and will be the focal point much like Tevez was at West Ham

flop... not a super flop or anything like that... but he won't live up the hype he is creating at the moment.... unless the Arab owners pick up a few more super stars I don't him doing much to take Man City to the top...

Hell do just Okay I guess, in some games we will surely see the Brazailian show his talent but not that often.Surely not as much as he costed to Man City.

How many Brazilians actually successful in hustle of EPL. With the exception of Silva @gooners and Juninho @ M'boro I could not find any other . And I do not expect Robinho would be successful at Man City but hope he could prove me wrong

Robinho will be even more dangerous with a midfield of Wright-Phillips/Ireland, Elano, Petrov and Johnson providing him with quality balls. Jo and Robinho can link up to be a sensational duo if things work out for City. Easier said than done though... The EPL is more physical than La Liga, so we'll see how Robinho copes

he will do ok but to much pressure and attention will be on him, some decent players around him so he should do well if he keeps mentally strong as Manchester is no Madrid. Manchester has nice chicks but the weather is one of the dullest in the world

Flop? Success? Who knows?

CHEAT? YES!!!!

Just seen him produce some embarrassing theatrics to get a Bolivian sent off.

NO CONTACT with the player - went down as if he had been decapitated.

I dont want to see that in Englaish football

Forgot about the Drog who goes down as easy as anyone (albeit without the rolling over and clutching of body parts). That Robinho collapse that Oxy mentioned was quite farcical; he must have rolled over about 172 times holding his thigh when there was minimal contact.
