umm... the person who I wouldn't miss watching would be Mohammad Yousuf.. just love the way he bats... same with Ponting...

but addiction would be towards Afridi.. even though i don't like him.. but when he comes to bat there's always that hope of him smashing a century in 30 odd balls...

Basically I said that 'DM, you lie man...you should not tell such big lies in broad day light!'

It was in reply to: 'Hi I'm DM, and I'm addicted to Shahid Afridi.' :Sami

I have an addiction for 90 mph and early to late 90 mph fast bowlers and Afridi, Razzaq like hitters especially if the players are Pakistani. Hopefully that explains why i chose to strongly back some players.

As an Indian fan, I love this guy's approach. I truly cannot miss a single ball of his, be it a One dayer or a Test match. Just love the no nonsense approach. Aggressive from the word go.

I am convinced that it is not a yokozona, bam bam biglo Obesity type Fat. I feel it is a Salman Khan type six pack i.e. Solid mass as opposed to the commonly perceived light Rubber like Fat.

Exactly.

Shoaib is still very muscular, the overlying fat he has can be burnt off easily - any athlete who does intensive training (as Akhtar has done) knows this, eg boxers can bloat almost unrecognisably between fights eg Ricky Hatton.

what Akhtar has is not a six pack... it's just one big pack full of who knows what... Akhtar reminds me of Fat Albert now lol...

yes but it seems Akhtar is not interested in taking off the fat... instead it seems he is gaining more fat the more he plays LMAO... I agree he is built.. and that is not a good thing either because he has overbuilt himself... and then packed fat on top of that overbuilt frame of his...

fortunately for us whales can't bowl... or who knows judging by the past record of our selectors they would have put a whale in the squad as well to open the bowling with Akhtar ..

Dont see what the big issue with his fat is (if it is actually unhealthy fat) when he still bowls at 148-155 km/hr?

In fact we should be taking super slim bowler to task for taking ridiculous shortcuts and bowling at 123-125 km/hr with a brand new ball? That is torturous i can tell you.

Dear DM,

I have a confession to make. After years of denial, i have finally come to admit that I might have become what people derisively call a "blind fan". I mean there is no one else I know of who would skip work just to watch Sachin play like he does nowadays. I feel an irresistable impulse to jump into each and every thread and defend him vigorously with twisted facts for each and every thing he is accused of even though I know that the original statement was made in jest. Words like "double standards and jealousy which i seldom used before are part of every sentence now.

Matters have come to such an extent that i take offence to every player who says anything negative about him and immediately adore anyone who praises him. i have not been on speaking terms with my dad for the last 3 months after he suggested that Sachin should retire. How do I adjust to day to day activities and learn to live with my addiction? Please help!

Well done my son, well done my son. Your forthright frankness absolves you.

As for a solution, my dear friend, you do not need one iota of a solution. Embrace the addiction. Savor it like it was your dying breath. Dear son-like friend, cherish it as it is your vitality in this dreary universe. Drink the addiction. Inhale the mother.
