Fedral Area v Baluchistan & Punjab vs NWFP-11/18

Fedral Area v Baluchistan

It seems like, it’s a bowling paradise. Fedral area got out on 146 in first inning and Balouchistan is 33-6. Sohail tanvir have taken all the wickets. Intresting to see Rao not even taking 1 wicket in bowling paradise. I am also very surprised that Rauf didn’t take wicket in the condition which suits the bowler. Glad to see both Rao, and tanvir is playing domestic cricket though they just came from Abu dhabi yesterday.

Punjab vs NWFP

Punjab 238-8 with Azhar ali making another century. This guy is doing well in domestic circuit. Lets hope he continues to shine. I am surprised not to see adnan raza in the squad. Very intresting indeed, I just feel the hate towards him. How can you drop a player from the initial matches though he made lot of runs last time around. He got the chance in last match due to malik absence and he made a century but though malik is still not playing, he has been dropped.

Wow. Absolutely amazing figures by Sohail Tanvir: 8-4-10-6.

And that's Azhar Ali's third century on the trot. The kid is making some real noise.

Good stuff from Tanvir, but lets not forget the supporting role of Rao "Captian Fantastic" Iftikhar with 7 - 1 - 20 - 0, drawing the opposition into a false sense of security in classic serpent style.

Azhar Ali has an amazing domestic record! Any more info on this guy? What does he look like? What is his style? What is his physique like? Does he look like someone who eats a lot of ghosht? Thanks.

Shame that Umar Akmals second season has not been as good as his first.

Azhar Ali stance is very much similar to Khurram Manzoor's stance and was uncomfortable against bounce last time I saw him.

I don't know about the real Azhar Ali, but the one in ICC 08 is an absolute king; a sensationally prolific batsman. I think he averages like 86 or something ridiculous for me.

Will the real Azhar Ali please stand up?

Will be very difficult to drop Tanvir for that 1st test match against IND.
Normally the conditions in Karachi help swing bowlers(sea breeze) so Tanvir should do well there.

Hold on, he must be playing on a seaming wicket. Everyone knows he is lethal and deadly on a seaming wicket. I would like to see how he does on flat wickets and i fear the worst. I doubt it whether we will prepare any sporting wickets for the India series out of fear for what Zaheer, Ishant and Co will do to us and our brittle batting line up failing.

I was watching his interview couple of month ago on GEO and he thinks, he is far better bowler in longer version of a game then oneday and 20-20

Federal Areas Vs Baluchistan

Federal Areas - 146 all out.
Baluchistan 6-33

Sohail Tanvir has 6-10 so far, may be up for a ten wicket haul when play resumes in a few hours.

Genuinely, I now believe the transfer of power has occured from Akhtar to Tanvir and Gul. We just need to get Sohail Khan or Anwar Ali into the outfit now, if Akhtar doesnt show the same will to play for Pakistan anymore.

Yeah but you can't ignore such performance, we don't have many choices with Asif and Shoaib's absence.

Gul, Sohail T and Sohail K are the front runners IMO with M Talha on the bench.

Stump Day 3, Blouchistan fighting back. It would be a good game

Fedral area 303 in the 2nd inning, a fighting knock of 87* by usman saeed gave them a good chance to win this game.

Blouchistan 147/3

http://pak.cricdb.com/archive/domest...php?scr_id=353

I hope saeed bin nasir make a century here.

Punjab vs NWFP

Punjab got the lead of 37 runs in first inning. Excellent bowling by Talha. 6-50 in 20 overs.

NWFP 105-3 in 2nd inning. Talha have got 1 wicket so far. It should be a easy win for NWFP.

http://pak.cricdb.com/archive/domest...php?scr_id=352

Punjab batting sucked big time in 2nd inning. 134 all out, Junaid khan took 6 wickets. I just wonder how come adnan raza didnot play this game though he scored a century in last match.

i dont think mansoor even play as a bowling allrounder now. He only bowled 3 overs in first inning and have bowled 2 so far.

I think NWFP will win this one

Not surprising, the pitch probably flattened out with time in the Federal Areas- Balochistan game. This will render the Federal Areas team out of the tournamanet and thus no one more practice match for Akhtar. Bowlers like Tanvir, Rao will not cause havoc on flat pitches.

yes pitch falattened out but so did for fedral area in 2nd inning. Fedral area had a lead of 90 runs in first inning and then they scorded 303 in 2nd which tells u that pitch was good to bat in 2nd inning. Chasing 393 is not easy on a attach which consist of 4 good bowlers. Blouchistan played well and deserve the credit.

Tanvir and Rao will not do anything if the pitch has nothing for them. They were completely different bowlers in the first innings and completely different in the second innings. No offence to Balochistan, full marks to them for this win chasing close 400 to win is a gigantic task, but Tanvir and Rao on flat decks please, definately not match wining options for sure.

Balochistan would have been challenged if Gul, Akhtar were bowling.

what i find really strange is that Mansoor Amjad is always not given a proper chance with the ball in domestic cricket yet when he played for PAK he bowled 8 out of the possible 10 overs and did a fair job as well.
