Fast WACA pitch? This is a fast WACA pitch

I wish Cam Sutherland could get some soil to get the WACA pitch as fast and bouncy again as it is here. I don't care if the Saffas have Steyn, Morkel et al, we have Lee and MJ . This was a survival pitch. And note that Sir Viv did NOT have a helmet on facing DK Lillee.

PS Last Youtube I promise

I remember Ian Chappel before the Indians went down under predicting the series.."India will definitely lose at the WACA,they may draw in Sydney but certainly i will be 3-0 if not a 4-0.."

Well we all know how that turned out.Australia simply aren't the team that they were. They would be best served to stop their bullying tactics as they no longer have the legends they once had to back up their talk...however they are facing SA,so maybe this once

ha ha ha ha...classic.

I would love a fast track too. Promise you it won't bother the saffie batsmen one bit. Not saying the Aussie bowlers are useless..........well.......not saying they're good either, but our guys all bat well on fast pitches.

His partner Jeff Thomson was a demon. Many consider him to be the fastest bowler ever.

Just had a quick look at the batting averages of some of the recent good/great batsman on the WACA -

Tendulkar - 50.75

Ponting - 51.52

Lara - 41.25

Inzamam - 7.75

Dravid - 48.00

Pietersen - 130.00

Yousuf - 11.50

Younis - 29.50

Humm.. maybe fast pitches, but not fast pitches and fast bowlers, I remember Devon malcolm with a scary spell on a fast bouncy one at the oval taking 9 wkts and then there was Pak's last trip in South Africa, where one spell from Shoaib Akhtar won Pak the test match. Shoaib has done this to S africa in S africa before as well.

Exception rather than the rule, Pakistan's test record in Australia and South Africa is pretty poor mainly due to their batsmen's inability to cope with the bouncy conditions.

But they have had their share of world class bowlers to make up for that.

True, but overall the package hasn't been good enough to win a single test series
