PP's most popular 11 for Sri Lanka

Ok so I compiled the posts on the thread entitled "Your Pakistan ODI Squad For Sri Lanka". Here is PakPassion member's choice team, in order of popularity, along with the number of votes each player received.

Not surprisingly, most often eleven selected are:

Younis Khan 34
Shoaib Malik 33
Umar Gul 33
Misbah ul Huq 32.50
Nasir Jamshed 32
Sohail Tanvir 32
Salman Butt 29
Kamran Akmal 28.50
Fawad Alam 26.50
Shahid Afridi 26
Shoaib Akhtar 25.50

Others receiving "votes" are:

Saeed Ajmal 8
Sarfraz Ahmed 6.50
Rao Ifthikhar Anjum 5
Sohail Khan 4
Khurram Manzoor 4
Mohd. Talha 3.5
Yasir Arafat 2.5
Azhar Ali 2
Mansoor Amjad 2
Saqlain Mushtaq 1
Danish Kaneria 1
Bazid Khan 1
Mohd Yousaf 1
Mohd. Aamer 0.5

Players receiving the most "votes" for the 4 Reserve selections are:
Mohd Talha 13
Sohail Khan 12
Rao I. Anjum 11
Khurram Manzoor 7

other receiving reserve selection "votes":
Azhar Ali 7
Umar Amin 7
Saeed Ajmal 5
Mansoor Amjad 4
Anwar Ali 4
Fawad Alam 3
Shahid Afridi 3
Yasir Arafat 3
Mohd Aamer 3
Saeed Bin Nisar 3
Danish Kaneria 2
Salman Butt 1
Shoaib Akhtar 1
Sarfraz Ahmed 1
Mohd Hafeez 1
Kamran Hussain 1

note on methodology: If a player was listed in the starting eleven of anyone's post, he received 1 point. If multiple players were listed for the same position (eg "Kamran Akmal/Sarfraz Ahmed"), each player received a fraction of the point (0.5 each in the example above). If people posted numerous times with different starting 11's, I used the most recent post I could find. I probably made a few ****-ups as well... :/

Apologies if this should have gone in that thread, but I felt it's a slightly different topic.

Interesting breakdown. So many people are always calling for more youngsters to be in the side, but they don't include them in their squad.

Was a bit surprising to see Shoaib Akhtar get such few votes. I guess most people are tired of him now.

it seems like NJ and Fawad were auto picks for everybody but ignored by the selectors. Regarding Shoaib i bet people are just unsure about fitness. Obviously if he performs he'll be a shoo-in for the other ODI's. (i guess u can say that about any of the players though).

Among the new bowlers it seems ppl are most keen to see Mohd Talha. lets hope he gets a call up for a game.

One just had to look at the recent performances of both Alam & Jamshed to see that they both are in fantastic form. Alam did nothing wrong to be dropped in the first place.

Dropping Nasir Jamshed...is a big big mistake. Khurram Manzoor is slow...and Butt is out of form....slow start to every inning.
Alam....no great loss....enough lower middle order players who can turn their arm over.
I think Arafat will nail the allrounder spot in this series.
