Pakistan and international XI cricket match in doldrums


KARACHI: The first one-day cricket match between the Pakistan and international XI teams to be played on Friday in Saudi Arabia is in doldrums.

Now instead of three matches only two matches would take place. The organizers of the matches, which were to be played in the Saudi cities of Riyadh and Jeddah, were issued visas with a lot of delay late night on Tuesday.

Due to the late issue of the visas by the consulate in Karachi the Pakistani players would now leave for Jeddah late night on Wednesday and Thursday from Karachi and Lahore.

The organizers say that the matches would now be played on 21st and 22nd July. The prominent players who would participate in these matches are: Inzamam-ul-Haq, Yousuf Youhana, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq and Shoaib Malik.

Bob Woolmer on his website did say that the match was a private match and he doesn't know whether it will be shown in the uk. If it is shown in the uk, it will most likley be on ARY, with PTV Prime and Geo with a very slim chance of showing it. i doubt anyone will show it but u never know.
