IPL match Deccan vs Rajasthan 11 May 2009

Takes guts for a keeper to stand up to a fast bowler.
Did Bari, Moin Khan, Latif, Akmal, etc. ever do it?

Say what now?

Sangakarra's been standing upto Vaas for donkey's years now.

If u wanna talk about guts, think about Dhoni when he stood upto Kumble!

Believe you me. It's no walk in the park when your standing up to the stumps when a fast bowler is bowling. I've been playing with the tape ball for 2 weeks now and it's seriously HARD to do it.

Gilly's stumping was down to the batsman's lack of awareness. If you want to talk about keeping skills when standing upto a medium fast bowler -- take a look at this:

Vass is miltary medium at best, Gilly has probably kept to spinners who bowl quicker then Vass does right now.

Modi says you are hired as the main presenter for the next edition! He also offers a seat next to him which would guarantee atleast 1 hour of TV coverage in a 4 hour cricket match

It has been done in the past with bowlers such as Vaas and Pollock. This one was, however, not really a gem. Once you see the dismissal or read its commentary you will know what I mean here.

In the 2007 wc in the windies (http://content.cricinfo.com/ci/conte...ry/288410.html) , Sangakkara stumped Lara off Vaas' bowling.

It takes some skill to do that off someone even at Vaas' pace.

See it here:

It is nothing exceptional. I have seen a lot of wicket keepers keeping just behind the stumps while fast bowlers are bowling. Moreover, Vaas does not have express speed.
