PakPassion T20 WC Exclusive - Rana Naved ul Hasan "Pakistan can reach semi finals"

Speaking earlier today to PakPassion.net former Pakistani medium fast bowler Rana Naved ul Hasan who has just terminated his allegiances with the ICL and is playing County cricket for Yorkshire this season, stated that he thought the Pakistani team taking part in the ongoing Twenty/20 World Cup in England would at least reach the semi finals of the tournament.

Rana stated that “the team have struggled initially in England but that is largely down to the different conditions compared to Pakistan and the fact that they had not even been in the country for 48 hours when they played against South Africa in their first warm up clash at Nottingham”. “They looked a bit tired, but that was to be expected” said Rana “but I believe they will make the semi finals at least”.

Rana also added “I feel that there is plenty of talent in the current squad and I pray that they come good and succeed, they will definitely improve as the tournament progresses. All it will take is one win to boost the players confidence”.

When asked who he thought could be the most important players for Pakistan, Rana stated that “It would be wrong to rely on any one or two players, you have to have a team effort, however twenty/20 cricket is such a game that on any given day one player can change the course of a game”.

I asked Rana about his own situation and the PCB requesting another copy of the NOC from the ICL and he responded with “yes the document was re-sent 2 days ago to the PCB”.

Saj, Just out of curosity, are you doing these interview and attending conferences for PP or u have another job that requires you to do so?? If not then whats your other job/profession?

I also have a full time job, but I've taken leave for most of this tournament.
