No thread?

Anywho....England up 2-0 at half time with the former club team mates Barry and Heskey scoring. Looks like England is heading to the World Cup and quite comfortably. England for champion! (just kiddin!)

Media make no sense. England win 4-0, and still not considered a good performance. You can only beat whats in front of you and not many teams dominate the full 90 minutes. After the first 15 when Kazakstan tired itself out, England just controlled the game with ease. 4-0 is pretty comprehensive but it is seen as "just enough." You would have thought the team squezed in a 90th minute winner.

If England lose, they are torn up but if they win....it seems they still were not good. Really, there is no win for the English team.

You talking about the english media?

Well then i agree BUT thats always what they have been like

End of the day Kazakhstan are nobodies so pointless getting excited over beating them, regardless of how comfortable it was

I agree, and your right no need to get excited. But at the same time, why make it sound like they just barely scraped through and won? They won 4-0 for crying out loud....that's almost as comfortable as it gets.

Portugal saved their world cup campaign with a goal in the 92nd minute. The game against Albania (away game) ended 2-1 to Portugal.

They are now third in the group. Still have a lot to do to qualify for the WC Finals.

Seems as though about 50,000 made it to Wembley with all the disruptions with the tube strike.

Will be hell getting out of there though!

Watched only the second half ... Lampard seemed to run the show but Andorra were awful! England had two typical wingers - Walcott and Young who kept drilling in crosses and had some neat interchanging play with the full backs Johnson and A.Cole ... Johnson seemed to have had a very good game as he was involved in all the goals in the first half!

They seem a pretty disciplined unit under Capello ... Why would you so badly want them to lose? Is it just coz of their media?

It was decent at best. They need to move the ball around better and quicker and the crossing from both flanks was appauling!

He had a very average game, a few good dribbles but final end product was poor. needs to be played through the middle not on the wing.
