Sehwag

I was not following the triangular between Ind, Sri Lanka and the Windies.

Can anyone be so kind as to tell me whether Sehwag scored his double century in this tournament?

To be fair to him some journalist asked him a dumb question like "whether he would like to score an ODI double hundred" and he said "yeas" which was as always blown out of proportion by the media. Who wouldn't like to score an ODI double hundred!!

Well Sehwag has also been having a terrible back problem so I heard for a long time now, wether that is hindering his batting performance or not is another question which I dont know but he definately needs to lose some weight if he wants to solve his back problems, though I would still have him in my team there are other players in Indian lineup like Gangully, Dravid and Laxman who are supposed to bat for a long innings so one hit and miss player doesnt really go amiss.

Well, I haven't watched much of the Indianoil cup, but can confirm one thing from what I've seen of Sehwag when he is bowling. Poor Sehwag is balding....and balding at a pace faster than his batting strike rate.

Khalil...

Why would you think Sehwag scored a double century in an ODI anyhow?

Good player...but his footwork early in his innings makes him prone to get out to false shots more often than not....once he's in of course....different story altogether....

Id rather have Jaysuriya and Afridi. As captain/coach id just tell Afridi to play his own game and destroy the opposition. Id tell Jayasuriya to revert back to his 1996 pinch hitting days and launch a 130 from 60 balls type of innings.

Hello Mulan

Sehwag told journalist that he would like to become the first player to score an ODI double hundred. Since then he has battled to even get into double figures in ODI's and I am only making fun of his remarks

No Khalil - the journalist in question asked Sehwag if he thinks he could be the first one to score a double hundred in a ODI and he said why not ! The story was then reversed into sounding like Sehwag is going around saying that.

Sehwag is one of the nicest cricketers around - have never seen him bad mouthing/sledging etc - he gets down to work which is to score runs for his country without worrying about being a superstar - something a few of our players can learn from.

I think someone who is half-crazy like pietersen, afridi have more of a chance of scoring a double...provided that they open the innings/come in @ one-down....

Sehwag has lost his devastating touch as bowlers seem to have sorted him out..

I think that was coming from Pakistani fans and media who are still hurting over his 309 in Multan.

Sehwag is a captain's nightmare or dream, it depends on his mood, he is far more versatile than Afridi and has had more recognised innings at the top of the order than ol' Afridi could ever dream of.

I for one am a Sehwag fan as when he is on song he is a treat to watch.
