Reasons why Bangladesh will crush West indies.. . .

5: pacey track + Rubel

4: 7 players on west indies with NO ODI experience

3: bangladesh captain has more ODI experience than the whole west indies team put together/

2: bangladesh has the momentum

1: International team vs A team

bangladesh wins this one by a huge margin.

any thoughts/ similar predictions/counter predictions ?

I am happy for Banglasdesh as I have always supported them after Pakistan, but the same cannot be said of Bengalis supporting Pakistan (Too much politics there). If Bangladesh wins then its great but on the other hand West Indies decline should bother ICC and the rest of the world, as they have produced the most talented cricketers after Pakistan

It's a dream coming true for Bangladesh. Having won the Test series, they are on the verge of winning an ODI series too.

Well deserved victories!

Bangladesh winning the ODI series will serve two purposes:

1. it will give them the confidence that comes from winning. Doesn't matter that the opposition is weak, winning gives players a special type of confidence that you don't get when you're getting flogged by all and sundry.

2. it may finally force the WICB and WIPA to come to the table and sort out an agreement for once and for all, for the betterment of WI cricket

One day Bangladesh will shine brighter than the sun and become in the top 5's. Although, hopefully Pakistan will be in the top 4's.

Well they now have the spin bowlers who are on par with most around the world. They have one of the best all rounders in Shakib. Their batsmen are talented but just lack common sense and maturity (look at ashraful). If they can just find one half decent seamer to carry their pace attack then more and more wins will come. Look at India with Kapil and then Srinath - they went from no hopers to at least winning a few tests. Same with Vaas and SL. And Streak and Zimbabwe. etc

I am not sure if you guys watched the match or not but here it goes...

WI won the toss elected to field. Curator said this would be bouncy and fast track. They had 4 seamers, no brainers in the toss. BD loses Tamim gang sta in the very first ball. Ash comes in. He plays an innings that we all begged him to play in any of his 4 test innings at WI. Fast forward... Shakib runs Ashraful 57 (95) out. Riyad walks in after Mushi gets too pretty and gifts his wicket, and up tempo the scoring. Shakib started to open up and gets the PP3 in 43, good move. They add 49 in five overs. BD post 246. Against this team it was more than enough. Against the WI real team 20-30 runs short.

WI bat, Rasel after a long long break comes back and gives 2 runs in the first over. Shakib doesn't give the ball to Rubel, the slinger, instead he tosses it to Abdur Razzak (SLA). See, 2nd over of the match, on a bouncy track bringing in spinner? That kind of captain we have. 2nd ball gets Richard. With pressure mounting they lose their other opener (Fletcher) to Rasel. Shakib doesn't toss the ball to AR any more. Just one over spell. Brings in another spinner this time Mahmudullah off spinner. All this is going on inside first five overs. Guess what!! gamble or the calculated guess pays off, WI lose their third wicket to Mahmudullah in the 8th over. 23/3 in 7.2 overs.

I think that was game, set and match.
+++
In the last WC we played the real WI side tight. I think real WI team would have problems playing so much spin. I hope they play the remaining two.

They did really well to win the last ODI and I think they will go on to win the ODIs as well. I am not sure that this team would beat the real WI team but they would certainly put up a good fight.

This Bangladesh team is decent but I would like to see them beat full strength teams before stating that they are on their way up or on their way down.
