Aamer's technique is alot better than a lot of the batsmen. He actually cones on to the front foot which seems impossible for the rest.

How will we face 90mph+ bowling if we can't come onto the front foot against 80mph stuff.

I don't see why not. Opening with tailenders has always been my idea.

Let's create a revolution in cricket!

Amir certainly has the talent to become a very useful all-rounder. He should take his batting seriously!

I don't know about you guys, but Ajmal looked in great touch today and growing with confidence. He was playing all the shots in the book, and my goodness there was a touch of arrogance on his face when he would sweep Murali - looking him directly in the eyes.

He also made his highest ODI score today!

I mentioned yesterday that I would like to see him open the innings. He looks really solid compared to other Pakistan (and some Sri Lankan) batsmen. I think he could turn into a very usefu all-rounder, akin to Mitchell Johnson.

I think that our batsmen should learn from Aamer and Gull because when they are batting they do not care about the situation they're in, but instead they play like they're relaxed. This is why in the last 10 overs of the game or so, you have seen the Sri Lankan bowlers panic, and the captain going mad. That is why i think our batsmen should play like the bowlers do and put sri lanka under pressure. All in all inshllah allah will help us win the the 3rd ODI and the series.

^^ did u consider the fact, the ball doesn't seam or swing as much in the later overs?? sheesh, some ppl think just going after the bowling will solve all problems!!

Did you consider the fact that Aamer and Gul are bowlers, and the fact that our batsmen still get out on balls that are not swinging, so then how do you explain that our bowlers can play the last ten overs of the game but our main batsmen keep failing when they get the chance to exploit.

How do you????

I think it was a masterstroke on the part of SL to play us on these seinging pictches. They saw we had openers who are FTB and go for their shots and they come up wth these seaming pitches.

What we needed here were openers who can build the innings rather then come and try to destroy the opposition from word go. Even Jaya is not going for his shorts because he knows this pitch is not suited for such play.

Since we do not the right openers in the squad it would not be a bad idea to open with Malik and Fawad so they can try to score around 4 in the first 15-20 overs and see off the new ball.

What happened in the 3rd ODI, Last time i checked both teams were going at more then 5 runs per over in the begining overs and maintaining that, so how were they able to score those runs so fast when the ball was moving around. And like i told you, Kamran went after the bowlers.... and as a result got Pakistan to a score which they never acheived in the whole series.

there wasn't a seaming or swinging ball in sight, that's why they were able to hit the ball. if you don't watch the ball, at least listen to the commentators, dude. you can't close your eyes and have a swing at the ball in tough conditions.
