Who is really responsible for selecting final playing 11?

I wonder who have got this wonderful Ideas of

1. Dropping MOYO from the team

2. Having 2 specialist openers in your squad and playing with 2 make shift openers in your final 11

3. Playing Shoaib Malik in the team specially over MOYO.

I know Younis Khan is not that insensible to make these decisions, so it means Inti is the man to select the final team or what?

And what do you think, who should be responsible for selecting the final 11. I think its the captain.

Younus Khan wouldn't accept the captaincy role if he didn't has any role in selection role. He clearly didn't want to be dummy captain. That is why PCB has agreed to compromise with him.

Why do you think Abdul Qadir selected of several players were ignored and heeded Younus choices instead?

People do have short memory. Malik didn't has completely authority in selection roles, but he has never complained. In comparable to Younus, who is already making several excuses already and yet to learn to accept the responsibilities.

having a role and having the final say are 2 completely different things...even Ponting does not have that kind of authority over his team...it's a collective decision 99% of the time...I think in our history only Imran Khan might have had complete say over who gets to play

Some of choices of his were respected. That is fine authority he has in compared to others who didn't has a final say in the first place.

Younus needs to accept the responsibility of the action he takes and move on, rather than whining, complaining, plenty of excuses, blaming of some players and pretend to turn blind eye of his performance as batsman, and failed to provide fine example as captain, and poor leadership i have seen so far.

YK needs to be given complete control, complete authority to select the playing eleven. He has shown that he can take tough decisions. Let him have his say. Get the incompetent init and th erest out of team selection matters

In pakistan all this wishy washy "lets do it together" BS doesnt work..give the captain all the authority..at the end of the day he is the one who will lose his job..yawar saeed and the rest will just come back again! YK must be given full authority to do as he likes. Then if it doesnt work im sure he'll resign anyway!

well said and SAM's it is the team members not performing well, nothing captain can do about it besides encouraging and using some fould language besides asking shrink to talk to them. If not Younis then who?. Your signature says you are proud of the T20 victory like all of us but do you really believe without good captaincy and using the right players it was achieveable?
