Saqlain to coach NZ spinners?

Is this true? And is it a short term contract or long term?

They all coach any team but their own.

And the PCB fatties stay seated without a worry in the world despite the resources not staring at their faces but rather kicking them in the a55!

Maybe cos the rest of the worlds players are not so arrogant that they will take the advice as gold.

Also they will pay more anyway.

I am pleased for Saqlain he still has alot to offer the game. Shame on the pcb for not usilising the skills of our former players.

Does Saqlain have any coaching qualifications?

also how can he really help the batsmen? his bowling is totally different to murali and mendis's variations

stil the kiwis must see something of value after his T20 stint to offer him a 12 month contract!

well done to him

He would make an excellent coach for Saeed Ajmal. Good for New Zealand to sign up Saqi to help their spinners. He has a lot of knowledge and they will surely learn things from him.

Good for him. He got horrible treatment from PCB (known to destroy talent) at his prime. Shoib Malik was never a replacement for Saqlin. It took Pak 5 years to replace Saqlin with Ajmal. Do they care what this costed PCB?
He got another bad deal by following Inzi to ICL and lost his place with Surrey. I hope he makes it as bowling coach/consultant.

Yes Waqar Younis a great baller but pathetic captain supported Shoaib instead of Saqlain, also I remember this match when the Pakistan innings was comming to a end and instead of going for it Malik kept selfishly taking singles to get to his 100 and you could see Waqar Younis standing outside and the camera zoomed on him clearly showing his frustration.

Saqlain is only 33 (which is still young enough for a spinner), he could still be one of the best spinners in the world. Seeing him in the ICL, he was terrific. He developed a off-spinner's flipper (teesra I think). He should be still playing for Pak or be in the squad competing with Ajmal. Personally I think he would still be more dangerous than Ajmal. But good to see Ajmal doing well.

Can't believe they wasted Saqi on Malik. Anyways, he would go down as one of the greatest off-spinners of all time.

Good to see The Spin Doctor in action again.
The Kiwi's will be tough customer's for him but I think he'll OK . I wonder if Saqi will teach them the Doosra , would surely strengthen their Spin bowling department a lot .
