After one year, Zardari's ratings slide

Article from Dawn : http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/...gs-slide-ss-05

Quote:
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari's plunging popularity has led to questions over whether he can finish his term, raising the possibility that political turmoil could undercut Pakistan's recent gains in the fight against Al-Qaeida and the Taliban.
Presidential spokeswoman Farahnaz Ispahani :

Quote:
'We will succeed or fail, but we will fight to fulfill our five-year term,'
Goes to show they don't give a toss about the country , they just want to remain in power.

i would like them to finish the term, maybe change the president if they want to (is that possible?).

what i want is political stability. yes inflation at its worst and other thing but i dont see any one coming into power and do any good. ppp, n-league both are almost same, which means they dont have the capability to take Pakistan out of this mess overnight, not even in 5 years term.

what i want is atleast political stability.

Keep in mind that many of those ''fools'' that vote, are forced to do so, often at gun point.

It is vital that the government fulfils its full 5 years in office. In the sort term it may be a good thing (to get rid of Zardari and co) BUT in the long term it'll just undo whatever hope thee is for the future as well as undoing the great work done against the terrorists.

Amazing, so just because some poll indicates that Zardari popularity has gone down, hence the govt should pack their bags and go. Similarly if another poll indicates another leader's popularity rising, so he should go and take oath as the prime minister or president. Wow what logic. I mean whats the point in spending so much on elections then. Let Geo, Ary or any other channel decide based on polls and the number of SMS recieved who the leader should be. Hell we can have a govt change every three months or so. After all Bharti idol is selected by SMS right...
