Pakistan national hockey team captain said that hockey players still do not have permanent jobs. He said that he was giving a job in National Bank of Pakistan as a temporary cashier while cricketer Salman Butt is vice president of National Bank of Pakistan.

its not like there is only one VP in National Bank of Pakistan, there are hundreds of them all over.
and players get these department jobs on honorary basis.

A lot of players get jobs in the bank or Wapda on honoury bases. Maybe Butt is fit for the job, he sounds like an intelegent person.

I'm not a Butt fan at all. I don't want him anywhere close to our international squad.

We rightly criticized him on his (not) opening the innings!

But, what right do we have to criticize him personally? What do we have to do with his life or job or way of earning?

I guess he will be able to pay more attention to that role right now since he has nothing to do these days other then sit around.

The guy is well educated isn't he? I am not basing it on his english, but I remember hearing that he has a university degree. So perhaps he could do well in such a position later on when he isn't playing.

he must be getting the salary of a VP, but he is retaining his position because he plays for NBP cricket team just like Afridi & YK play for HBL. A VPs salary is just a fraction of what he is getting through the central contract with PCB. I am no fan of Salman Butt, but its (job) not a topic to bash him around.
