This just goes to show the great, humility and humbless of this courageous leader.
Whilst other arab leader dine with fine wine assisted with lavish cutlery this man prefers to sit on the floor with others. The man continues to assist the poor and speak for the voiceless palestinians. All hail ahmediejad.

Well, it's a good thing he actually invited the Bolivian president in his talks with the Bolivions.

Unlike a certain other president, at a certain other Dinner.

Well there should be a certain standard to a "State dinner' yes dont waste too much money on it, but there should be some sort of standard at least.

However, I think this might have been a visit to Ahmedinejads village perhaps? Something like that...in which case its actually a nice touch, i doubt this is the state dinner though.

Hazrat UMAR E FAROOQ KEI YAD TAAZA KER DEI

An ambassador wanted to meet caliph, when he had his dynasty quite wide spread.
He could not find hazrat Umar,
After a lot of search, some one told him to see him under a tree near masjid e nabvi,He was quite shocked to see caliph of such a great dynasty sleeping carelessly without any servant or guard under the shadow of tree.

And what did he say

''Its only possible if justice is there"

Nothing wrong with it.

These "presidents" and such should eat like everyday civillians.

Not like here in the west, where the "leaders" come to dine with ridiculously expensive food and the entire luxorious preparations thats costs a fortune, and then they discuss World Hunger and poverty.

Well yes I agree with you, it is over done in a big way.

However I think there should be a decent standard...as it is a representation for the country at the end of the day. Nothing over the top but at least a decent standard.

This guy has demonstrated how a leader/ruler should be. A state dinner does not mean that one should waste state resources.

Such acts should be admired, rather than criticized.

Or have you forgotten about the caliphs?

the joker comment was since the guy is a loony and not because of this dinner.

But you just criticized him for having a simple meal. Loony or not, I would have someone with his simple dinners leading pakistan, than the current or former leaders.

And yet, you criticized him for not wasting public money

Let me elaborate.

If the president spends lavishly, he is corrupt. If he prefers simple meals, he is a dramai baaz.

Some people have a habit of criticizing everything

Waqar what is the point of arguing for no reason?

Did i say that 'what a joker...hes having dinner on the floor' no i did not, therefore you are making a rather big assumption are you not?

A lot of people agree the guy is a lunatic due to his previous actions...heck the iranians themselves dont like him too much as the recent protests showed, so what is your point here?

Finally yes...even donald duck would be better than our current leaders.

Yes I said in my opinion a state dinner should have some standard to it as it represents the country...not over the top though as these thing usually are.

I also said earlier that I feel this was not a state dinner, i think he probably took evo morales to his village for a traditional meal or something, in which case its actually a nice thing to do.

All that is needed, is a decent meal. Looks pretty decent to me. Even if this is not in his village, it is still very good. This is how our leaders should host state dinners.

Imagine zardari hosting such a dinner. He would ask the other guy, "Can I have 10% of your biryani?"

I kind of agree with hasan. Ahmedenijad, being the president of a country, should've maintained a higher standard; imo he's going too low with these pics. He could've eaten the same food with at least a table, it would've looked much better but at the same time wouldn't cost too much more either.

im sure he has a table in his house and could have sat on it, if this isnt dramabaazi, its funny how people forget about a leaders coruption just cause he sat on the floor to have dinner and invited a whole gang of photographers to show it to everyone, this was once like sadam hussain who came out of a plane and decided to pray namaz on the runway because he was getting late for it.

i wish our leader start doing this and stop wasting our resources on lavish dinners, isn't this the islamic/Iranian culture to sit on floor and eat, he is doing a good job projecting the culture of Iran.

I believe Bolivian president Evo Morales is a Roman Catholic, like most of the country's populace.

Along with Hugo Chavez, president of predominately Christian Venezuela, he earned my respect for cutting diplomatic ties with Israel after it's vicious attacks on Gaza earlier this year. Sad that many leaders of Muslim populated countries didn't do anything of the sort. Fellow Muslims should be first to aid their suffereing brethren.
