But Younus said he will play. And why shift Malik to opening spot when he is scoring as number 4. Afridi should be the opener for this match. I would love to see him score a 70 ball 50 as a true Vice kaptaan. ;)

I dont want to hijack this thread, but I posted this here, because it basically is about the playing XI in an hour.

I think Younis will decide not to play this game at the last moment.

Also, against the quality pace attack of Australia, and overcast conditions, Afridi may not be the ideal person to open.

Afridi should not open because

1) Lee, Johnson, and Siddle are going to be too good for him.

2) Although Afridi has developed some patience recently, he will lose it if faces a few consecutive dot balls i.e. more likely in first 15 overs.

3) He has the ability to hit 50 odd batting in the lower order if the top order collapses. However, its unlikely that he will pass 25 opening.

If he opens, i would love to be proven wrong!
