Indian pacers

What happens to their pace over time?

Sreeshanth - used to be 85mph + bowler. Now is early 80s to less

Munaf Patel - was supposed to be the next big thing. Not he is less than 80mph

Ishanth - we know the story there

Agarkar - shadow of what he used to be

RP Singh - This guy is the real disapointment because he had an economical action and was 85mph +. In the champions trophy he was crap

Irfan Pathan - now he is a left arm spinner

What is going on with these guys?

Afrid and ajmal are not pacers in case you did not know.

They are not as bad as you make them sound.

if you happned to look at the latest roi vs mumbai game sreesanth is back with his line and speed (the head part i dont know) .... so is agarkar ... both have hit 140+ with ease and were avg around 135-137

munaf is also bowling very well with speeds of 134-135 with occasional 138

seems like most of these pacers need a kick up their backside after every year or so

He is your most talented bowler IMO, given the alarming decline of Ishant.

Maybe he will grow up.

Forget Agarkar, Munaf not sure, he has something.

aggy is a wicket taker rpo of 5.07 288 wickets in 191 matches

the way rest of our pacers are getting hammered we should atleast pick a wicket taker

It's not like Pakistani bowlers these days are express either. Only a few quickies in the world playing at the moment, none of whom are Pakistani.

But it goes to show you don't need to be express to pick up wickets. Indian bowlers are simply not good enough-it has little to do with their pace, I feel, unless their name is Irphan Pathan

Umar Gul may become a similar story for Pakistan until and unless he learns how to bowl something other than yorkers and bouncers!
