Can the current National Bank team compete at the international level?

They've got excellent bowling with Asif, Aamir and Talha and good batting with Fawad, Salman, Umar, and Kamran.

Habib Bank and National Bank are different teams.

The opening post contains players from the National Bank team.

National Bank is a strong team. Probably the strongest contenders for QEA Trophy..

@ jazba - Um, Over-reaction much? Okay, the NBP team is arguably the strongest team in the domestic competition and has a number of good players, but do you actually think they could compete at the international level?!

It's like picking, for example, a strong domestic side from Australia, like New South Wales or something, and expecting them to beat international teams. Won't happen buddy.

Why not.. In fact it happens regularly. Touring teams always play 3-4 days matches with host's dometic teams and sometimes they lose.
So in that way not only domestic team from Australia but other test playing countries have beaten internation teams in cricket matches (you may say that those are practice matches etc, but i beleive they are considered first class cricket matches and the records are also kept for those like other FC matches.)
Also I could remember several years ago there was a one day tounament in Australia where the fielded Australia A team along with Australia. Third team i think was England. Funny thing was the tournamet final was played between Aus and Aus A
