Pakistans Chances in Test series in New Zealand?

So the Kiwis have won the ODI series 2-1 and Soon Pakistan will Travel to New Zealand for the 3 match test series. Traditionally Pakistan has an excellent Test record in New Zealand. Thats usually been based on Fact Bowlers like Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib etc... have Ripped the Kiwis apart for Fun. Pakistan on Paper do have bowlers capable of doing such things again with Aamer, Gul and Asif in the line up. However, the main worry as per usual will be can Pakistan put meaningful totals on Board to compete in the 1st place? Pakistan has no settled opening Pair. Barring Younis Khan and Mo Yousuf the Batting lacks any other world class test batsmen. If recent Batting performances are to go by when the ball moves around or the wicket shows some bounce then Pakistans hopes of winning a test series for 1st time in couple of Years look very slim.

Pakistan have a good chance if they pick the right team, but I cant see them winning if they include batsman like farhat and malik who clearly arent suited to test cricket. khurram manzoor should open with butt, followed by younus, yousuf, u akmal, fawad and k akmal. asif and amir as opening bowlers, ajmal as the spinner... and gul as 3rd seamer???

I expect pakistan to do well in NZ.Our bowling will trouble their batting with aamir Asif and ajmal. But batting does worry me I would pick player with better temperament so manzoor and fawad along with Ys should play.
Butt will get the nod so fawad will play at 5 that leaves one batting spot and that should go to Umar akmal as shoaib malik proved he will struggle with bounce.

if only the selectors shared our views
malik will play because he made a century in the dead-rubber against SL, but he cant play fast bowlers on seaming or bouncy tracks. fawad alam will surely be dropped as always. maybe they will even include faisal iqbal over umar akmal

let's hope our pitiful middle order can give some support to our bowlers...if they can, we should win the series.

I would expect some rather green surfaces specially made for our rather brittle batting line up.

A low scoring series in my opinion with the Kiwis clear favourites

With an Mohammad Asif and Aamer in the lineup might re-think that strategy from NZ

If we win it'll be because of Aamer and Asif. It'll probably be a very low scoring series from both sides but Pakistan win 2-0

Same result just different opposition

Pakistan will loose the test series just as they did against Sri Lanka.Trust if the form is such that in Abu DHABI where tracks are flat n our batsmen fail to take it to their advantage then i am more than 100% + that will struggle on every seeming pitch that the New Zealanders will make for them to struggle.Forget about scoring they will worry about lasting as long as they can.Just watch. They have Salman Butt,Shoaib Malik or u could say almost the same team under the heading of being "experienced players" or u could say "senior players" who lost against Sri lanka. This script is old and we know the climax. This has all the necessary elements for the team to flop.

The way Pakistan batting has collapsed lately i will say NZ are favourites at home, even though our record is quite good in Tests over there.

The only way Pakistan can win is if the bowlers demolish NZ batting for very small totals.

Asif and the collective performance of Pakistan middle order is the key to Pakistan winning the test series.

Here is the result.

Pakistan will loose the series 2 nil n the third test will be drawn because of the rain.Series in New Zealand will not be about winning but a challenge to loose with a respectable margin. This will be a repeat show of Sri Lanka Vs Pakistan. They will look like clowns on seaming tracks just watch.
Then Yk will have a statement to make that we had lot of positives and we had not played test for a while.Fatso Inti will say team did well in patches and we our very positive that this will help us win the series in Australia.Flopped players will be dropped, because next series is against Australia they will drag "experienced" players like MOhammed hafiz and many other lunatic looser's of the past lost test series. So again one looser replacing another looser. Rotation policy will continue n they will keep searching for the winning formula.

Has Pakistan trimmed the test squad from 18 players or are they still planning to take all 18 to NZ?

Best starting eleven. Fawad & u akmal deserve to play. Malik is a very good odi player but is unconvincing in test matches outside the subcontinent

Pakistan chances are very low to win.

Our bowling is good. It is the batting I am worried about.

We already had 3-4 batting collapses in srilanka. Now last one day vs NZ........... How many times have we seen our batting implode.

I don't know but something is wrong with our team. Be it players against YK or lack of mental strength but as our current batting line is way more brittle.

This amature Pakistani batting line up is a shame for test cricket .I don't even want to ruin nice memories of test cricket by even imagining younis, butt, bhanja, malik, farhat batting on pitches of newzeland. I hope Moyo shows his class and score some classy knocks and if yk had to play ( I wish he don't ) he should get back his old form and score. I am sick of watching pakstani batting line collapsing every now and then. Although I think asif and aamir wiil be a treat to watch there.

We got a decent chance as our bowlers are very good. Batting needs to fire though, if the batting department does its job then there isnt any reason why we dont win the series.

1000000000000000000000% correct. We'll bundle them out for 50 and get bowled out ourselves for 25.
