Decent enough knock. But seems do be incorporating a lot of Farhat in his innings. Missed at a lot and still carried on flashing.

Who the hell is our batting coach?

you may be feeling shame he saved us from embarrassment though. How run came didn't matter as long as it got added on to pakistan's total. I am sure you won't understand that.

Aamir is the second best batsman after Umar Akmal in current Pakistani batting line up .

Aamir was the second best batsman today behind Farhat

Now Omar gul overtook Aamir as the second best batsman.

give credit where credit is due. If you are ashamed that he saved pakistan's inning, than you are not a paskistani supporter

Come on man. Who cares how he batted? At least he scored a century while everyone else walked back to the hut with ducks beside their names.

Yeah, well said Usama. I really don't care whoever it is, even if it's Farhat or Faisal Iqbal or Hasan Raza, doesn't matter, as long as he scored a century. Doesn't matter who the player is really, at the end of the day it was a superb knock considering that he carried his bat throughout the innings when our supposed 'absolute class' middle order was supposed to make the most runs. The last Pakistani batsman to carry his bat throughout the innings was Saeed Anwar, just around a decade ago.

It really doesn't matter who the batsman is, as long as he scores a century.

But back to the topic - Aamer always bats decently but I just have a feeling that he thinks very highly of himself, which I really don't like. Did anyone see him in the first Test where he was batting along with Ajmal, who can just about bat as well as him, and Aamer was tapping it into the gaps where there were easy singles and doubles, but just stayed at his crease and declined to run, just because he didn't want to give Ajmal the strike? Horrible attitude there. Who does he think he is? He's 17, gets just about half of his runs luckily. Fine, if the situation was someone like Yousuf, who can bat very well, batting out there with Ajmal, then Yousuf has all the right and a valid reason to keep the strike. But for Aamer, tha does not apply. Yes, he plays some outstanding drives, but still, he's a tailender. Simple as.

Aamer always plays decent knocks, like 20's and 30's, but always gives it away. And he needs to work on playing deliveries on off and outside off. Not saying he needs to become an all-rounder - I don't want him to become another Irfan Pathan, I want him to STAY the tailender he is, I want him to stay the class bowler he is. Just saying, if the team will bring him in at number 8, just some parts of his batting technique needs to improve.

.

Isn't Aamer a considerably better batsman than Ajmal? That's what I've always thought. He IS a tail ender... but overall a better batsman than Saeed.
In my opinion.

Aamer is better than Wasim Akram at the same stage of Wasims career.

A legend during his first year in top class cricket.

I'd make him captain, he seems to have a very mature head on his shoulders such that he actually seems to raise his game against the best players and for the big occasions e.g.

World Cup 20-20 Final @ Lords, full-house and billions watching on TV worldwide, First over to the on-fire star batsman of the tournament Dilshan... no contest Aamer killed him
