Not supporting any war but this OP headline is kinda accepting that muslims are terrorists.

Terrorists are using religion to defend their action. The religion is not spreading terrorism.

You can't deny that the vast majority of terrorists are muslims. But the killing of other muslims is exactly what drives them to this. Some people like to think that these guys like killing people just for fun. No, it has to do with killing of other innocent people which is what drives them to do this. I do not defend killing of innocents by any stretch of imagination - and obviously I don't do the killing myself either - but I am trying to look from the perspective of these guys.

Your point can be valid but the same will hold true for other side too. The family who lost a member in Mumbai incident or 9/11 would think the same way. So this will go on.

Hence, my point is, this should not be used as an excuse for terrorism. Innnocents are innocents irrespective of religion.

Except the words of Mir Rosen in that excerpt amount to the US doing everything that Islamic terrorists have demanded they do, under thread of terrorism. Not very likely.

The other thing is that is well and good and logical but totally impractical. You mean they should stop now? Well there are going to be people trying to kill Americans for their actions in the past even if they did every single thing demanded by the terrorists and their left wing friends who think we should all hug and it will be OK.

US would say 9-11 was unprovoked, others would say it was provoked by previous US actions in other countries. No matter what the US does now. there will still be Muslims with grievances against the US for past deeds that will act on them.

So idealistic dreams shall remain idealistic dreams and people with no understanding of real things will applaud this as a reasonable idea.

Terrorism happened as a result of US injustice spanning the last 20-30 years and also ignorance on their part after ditching us in 1989l The root cause does not change.

The only solution a the moment is to get rid of these terrorists.

But stop killing innocent civilians and taking over countries is what needs to stop.

You also have to include the fact that most of these guys are uneducated and poor, which makes them good target for brainwashing.
