I would like everyone to know that I have been working very hard with the phaaast bowlers recently. In fact I held a phaaast bowling camp where alongside my good friend Wasim (Akram) we worked on all our 3 phaaast bowlers (Asif, Akhtar, and Imran). The changes I have seen:

- Akhtar, after working with me and our physio Khushbu, has attained full fitness and is touching new levels of speeds unimagined.

- Imran Khan has added the outswinger as a vital component to his repertoire while his inswing moves an extra meter now.

- Asif has increased his pace touching high 80's and early 90's without having lost any zip or seam movement and has kept his ability to extract bounce on most surfaces.

Having been handed the impossible task of teaching Pakistanis how to catch a ball I have been working very hard with the boys.

Initially I saw no improvements and assumed Pakistanis are just not meant catch the cricket ball. However, I called up a few friends (Jonty, Colly, and AB) who owed me a few favors and asked them to join our practice. The boys came in and raised the standards to a whole new level which inspired our boys to work harder.

As for the improvements I have noticed:

Mohammad Yousuf takes high catches and also slides to stop the ball - will make an excellent boundary fielder.

Younis Khan dives (5-10 meters) and takes all his catches cleanly. We are contemplating not having a keeper as Younis is capable of diving from slip to collect everything even if its down the legside.

Asim Kamal has been working on his reflexes and should make an excellent short leg. He can grasp full blooded shots of the bowling of Akhtar.

For Kamran and Talsim I called in Rashid, Ian (Heals), and Dave to ask how we can improve their keeping in particular Kamran's. Unfortunately, all their methods failed for Kamran although there was significant improvement in Talsim's keeping.

Then it hit me, a brilliant idea. Kamran was fairly mobile and his reflexes were quite decent so that was not his problem. His problem was that the ball did not stick to his gloves. Keyword: STICK.

Answer: Super Glue. I ran the experiment, applying super glue to Kamran's gloves and what do you know? It worked!!!! Yes he no longer drops 1/3 of his catches, in fact he no longer drops catches. Im very pleased with this improvement and with the hardwork Kamran has put in by continiously applying super glue to his own gloves whenever it dries.

This sort of commitment coming from Kamran was unheard off prior to this.

Genius at work. I will speak to Aamir Sohail and convince him to give you better contract and bonuses.

India is getting The Hate, and Pakistan is getting All the Love.

Lets just get Pakistan knocked out in 1st round, then may be someone will bother about us.

NEWS FLASH: Pakistan Deny Chasing Boi

Contrary to previous reports, Pakistan have denied approaching Boi about a position as the Batting Coach. Pakistan have not ruled out Boi, however have denied any speculated negotiations going on at the moment.

Bowling and Fielding coach Zimran72 gave the following statement:

"Pakistan management have not approached Boi to be the batting coach for the team."

Boi is still the Zimbabwe coach, who are scheduled to play Bangladesh to qualify for World Test Championships. Recruiting an already hired coach would not be unethical according to Zimran72.

"As far as we know, Boi is hired by Zimbabwe and for as long as he is hired by them we do not consider it right to make any approach," Zimran72 added.

The highly respected bowling coach however, admitted his admiration for the Zimbabwe coach. "Boi is an excellent coach and is credited with bringing the best out of batsmen such as (Andy) Flower and (Dave) Houghton and would be an excellent coach no matter where he went."

NEWS FLASH

Boi has accused the PCB of mishandling the issue of appointing a batting coach. He called it a 'farce'
Boi earlier on said "This is an utter farce! The Pakistani management dont know how to handle anything. Pathetic. I was really up for coaching Pakistan, unfortunately the pathetic handling of this issue has made me, my self rule out from a position in the Pakistani system. Terrible stuff."

News Flash: 'Boi should focus on Zimbabwe' - Saj001

Pakistan manager, Saj001 has deflected reports accusing the PCB of mishandling Boi's appointment as a batting coach. Saj001 denied ever being interested in Zimbabwe's coach, "We never approached Boi nor did we ever speculate on his availability, all statements came from his agents or him not from us."

Saj001 reiterated the words of his bowling coach by saying Boi has a job at hand.

"Boi should be pre-occupied with Zimbabwe instead of making ridiculous statements," the manager added.

Talking about his team preparations before the start of the World Test Championship, Saj001 said the team was ready for all challenges and really could go all the way.

"This is a very talented team which works hard on and off the field, I have full confidence in this team and for that matter my support staff."

'The Pakistani management is a bunch of jokers!' - Boi

Boi was fuming as he spoke to us again just a few moments ago. This is what he had to say.
'The way this Pakistani team is being handled is quite amusing. They are a bunch of jokers! Talks were going through fine at one point and I was due to sign on the dotted line until I was literally ignored by the management. This is really hard to take in. I was looking foraward to my stint with this exciting team but, unfortunately the guys at the head of things just stuffed me!'
Pretty angry little Boi there. If this is true then its an embaraassment for the Pakistani management.
