then again...

2wkts + brilliant fielding + 30 runs + bringing it down to under a run a ball

do we really expect him to do everything?

Inzi, Butt and Yasir are more to blame than The Afridi

i think Afridi did more than enough, at the end of the day he could have got out playing sedately too and in that case we could have been behind the run rate when he left meaning razzaq would have to hit out and we would have got battered.

i dont think i've seen the Aussies celebrate a wicket as much as they celebrate The Afridi's

u'd think they'd won the world cup!

Glen Mcgrath was doing somersaults and started begging for the ball. :-D

I think Afridi did a very very good job....

But he should not have played the shot which he lost the wicket.....

The Aussis was in back foot he should just take singles like Rana did..

He need to learn that.....

But otherwise he did a brilliant Job......

Hey dudes! Nice one Nawaz! Afridi is what Uranium would look like if it were to be a human

Merc, aDaM is not me, and i've asked him before whether his name's link to mine was coincidence, but no reply! Btw nice work on the forum, it'll take some time to achieve the familiarity of the old pp but it's already getting there! :-)

Afridi's cameo helped turn the tide, Razzaq steadied the ship home :-D

Brilliant brilliant stuff, fantastic match!

@ McGrath being shielded from Afridi, amazing!

Ponting obviously didn't like the idea of witnessing real crime from the Borox (boar-ox)

I'm amazed that McGrath - one of the greatest bowler of all time - was kept away from Afridi - such is his effect on teams. They know his potential to slaughter a bowler and have no other option but to pay attention to it.

Seriously tough, I can't remember the last time he even hit a six in an ODI inns, there was a time he would at least one per inns, even though he might only get 20 odd.

He has only himself to blame, if only he could spot which ball to hit, he would be twice the player he is. He has actually got quite a good defence. The following simple instructions will result in greater dividends:

1) If a ball is on the stumps, defend it full stop. (takes out lbw and bowled)
2) Any short ball which will hit the body, either defend or get out of the way of. (no scoops in the air)
3) Any ball higher than mid stump high when it reaches him play shots which keep the ball along the ground (this has been the most frequent mode of dismissal lately, hitting a back of the length ball in the air and getting caught)

and now....

4) anything wide or full (as long as it doesn't contraviene rule no 1), do what comes naturally (Boom, Boom)

These rules will allow him to get to 20 odd and hopefully get his eye in enough to be able to ditch some of them later on in his inns.
