How low

How low our cricket can go ? after losing the test series there was a hope that they might win the ODI's. Is there any specific reason for this on going " circus "where 15 or 16 clowns fighting and biting each other and putting this whole nation down further, Would we ever be able to have some happy moments from this team again , Why is this happening to pakistan cricket ? what did we do to deserve this ? Why is this not happening to any other cricket playing nation..?

They don't have the belief that they can beat Aus, that's why they are losing. Simple.

This current Aussies series is part of the last decade 2009. Let's put this behind and look forward to the next 10 yrs starting with the UAE series. I'm a optermistic and maybe this whitewash is a blessing in disguise; resulting in change in the PCB coaching staff and captain. Onwards and upward. We have a 20/20 WC which we play better than most even if we play badly. That could be the catalyst to a successful summer. have faith

Its a frustrating time for any Pakistani fan but I think that we were in a privileged position a couple of years ago when Mo Yo and Younis Khan held our batting together. In the last year both have not been consistent enough which causes problems as our openers in whatever facet are not good enough!!

Lets get a reality check everyone including the PCB...what are the answers?? It starts by making batting in an ODI team around Umar Akmal and Fawad Alam. I also think that Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal should play as batsmen only. All rounders would have to include Afridi and possibly Razzaq. Bowlers for me would be Asif, Aamir and Umer Gul. All 3 of which being given a licence to bowl aggressively instead of defensively. The wildcard entry would be Raza Hasan from the U19's to bowl in the middle overs alongisde Afridi

Lets get back to basics and what have Pakistani teams historically been good at...bowling teams out inside 50 overs instead of hoping to chase down 275+

That's all good and well. And I'm pleased you are looking at alternatives.

But you will be left dissappointed. These premature changes won't work. We need wholesale changes if we want to be a 'good' cricketing side and that begins with changing the mindset and structure rather than the personnel. We don't have Inzi, YK and Moyo in their prime in the middle-order, nor do we have anyone coming through (except Umar Akmal but he is still far off). And yet still the PCB doesn't select the best side.

We need to replace the PCB and the guys selected not on merit. And we need to change our domestic cricket to yield world-class players and not destroy those coming through. And we need an extensive coaching network to nurture the talent we do produce.

Yet all this costs money and time. And that's what Pakistan fans can't/won't accept and money is not what and :Zardari want to part with. So we will unfortunately be left with the status quo and most likely get whitewashed in England aswell (unless you count T20 wins as victories).

I feel most of the pakistani fans are little over reacting. Yes, it was a frustrating series and the team does look too down. But everything is not lost.

Just rethink, the bowling is still very good, the only thing which has been the reason for the series lost is batting.

As a team they should be looking to make the batting line solid in next couple of years. When 2 newbies are the backbone of the batting line up, you know what is the state of your batting. Whatever goes down will go up one day too.

Remember, if you keep digging at many places, you won't get water. You need to dig at one place deep to get water . So, the selection panel should find a bunch and persist with them for long to get better results.
