New Poll - Pitches

One of the key areas for the series versus England will be the type of surfaces that the series is played on.

So what type of pitches should the PCB prepare against England for the test series ?

The poll can as usual be found on the home page.

Having seen our disastrous experiment with producing " spinning tracks" in 2000 - I'd say just prepare tracks that will offer a good game of cricket.

Last time England came, the slow wickets produced neither promoted attacking batting, and nor did they give any encouragement to the bowlers. Any turn extracted from the wicket was so slow that the batsmen had ample time to make adjustments.

I hope the pitches this time offer some bounce - not WACA-like bounce - but enough to keep the bowlers interested and also so that the batsmen can play their shots. The wickets should then " break up" as play goes on so that we can get Dani and Afridi into action.

Well...I think the good green pitches will suit our bowlers, but looking carefully England got a good bowling line up now ! still don't know fore sure what kind of Pitch will suite Pakistan and not England.

But should be atleast for the first days bowler friendly, after than quiet normal Batsman friendly & spinners will get something in it , fair enough !

voted for sporting

Produce sporting wickets and let the better cricketing side prevail. all this pitch tampering/adjusting buisness has always tended to back fire in pakistans faces!
