Your best England Vs Pakistan memory ?

Mine was in 1992 World Cup final - when Wasim bowled those 2 beautiful deliveries to get Lamb and Lewis - what a sight that was !!!

Of course the other one had to be Waqars toe crusher to Bothan in 1992 ( cant remember which match but the sight of Botham Mian hobbling is embedded in my mind )

waqar's toe crusher to phil tufnell in the 96 test series, can remember the test but if anyone has that clip it was the best rverse swinging banana ball u could ever see....and these gorey are harping how good they are now at reversing the ball, they dont come nowhere near to what waqar could do, if anyone has got that clip i'd love to see it again, foever etched in my memory

Do I have to see the moment live for it to be my best memory? If so, then I would have tO say Hafeez's exhibition of batting during the first ODI(Since that is when i started to really watch cricket).

If not, then I would have to agree with Merc, as any other self-loving Pakistani.

Well I don't really remeber the 92 final, so I'll say the match when Ijaz made 100 and Shoaib was new on the international scene, I remember him breaking Nick Knights bail!

England needed 6 to win off 5 balls, and then Afridi took that catch after colliding with Shoaib Malik. Malik broke his arm in that incident but Afridi somehow managed to hold onto the ball and got Trescothick out. Pakistan eventually won by 2 runs i think.

That was so amazing - everything happening in the last over - was it Botham or Willis who said something like "collision! who's got the ball ? Afridi and Tresco is out..."

What a match that was - I was at work and following it on Cricinfo, my wife was on the phone giving me a ball by ball account !

The post-Final ceremony of WC'92 with Botham and Lamb standing together there in the ground folorn and distraught, arms folded and looking up to the podium where Khan was delivering the winning note speech holding with him the crystal trophy.

Yeah it was Willis who was doing the commentary and then the usually depressing voice became more depressed when Mullally it was who was stumped off the last ball of the match.

So many. I was at Headingley watching Imran running down the hill and destroying the England top order, Wasim and Waqar bowling England out with "oranges" in the 90s.

The WC final of 92. I think I've watched that match so many times I know by heart what is going to happen on each delivery.

However one that sticks in my mind is the last time Pak were touring and they had been hammered in the 1st test only to bouonce back amazingly at Old trafford. I was at OT for the last 2 days and on day 5 at lunch it seemed as though the test was drifting towards a draw, but Pak took 9 wickets after lunch - what a match !

The 2001 test was special, i was there for the 4th and 5th day!!

But the best moment was when Aqib caught gooch in the 92 final and every player was chasing him, what a moment, that was the world cup for us.

Haha, he was making a lap around the cricket ground, that was an incredible catch.

I would go with the back to back wickets of Lamb and Lewis. Definitely the match deciding over, what deliveries for the final of the World Cup.

I agree I saw lisenting radio 5 or 4 on the M25 whilst in a traffic jam - everyone said that OT would be draw as the pitch was a batting track but what a performance - it was truly amazing!!! getting Vaughan who batting beautifully was the key

Watching Pak beat Eng at Lords 1982.
Shakoor Rana-Gatting incident at Faisalabad, was watching it on tv in Lahore.
1992 world cup, watched in a hall that had about 300 English and 10 Indians in it with me the only Pakistani! When Pak won there was total silence and then I erupted into delirious cheering as everyone else looked on.
